I didn't get any Striders or the Rogue weapon. FeelsBadMan
Edit: Apparently DK Rexxar doesn't get beasts from any new expansions, and after the rotation will only get beasts from Un'goro and KFT. LAAAAME.
Edit 2: Sometimes Reddit is full of Wisdom re: Meme Hunter: "Pirate Warrior, Secret Paladin and Patron Warrior were also originally meme decks.
Then after a while it stopped being funny."
That's a shame. Concern about power creep, or just difficult to code?
That sounds more like a bug.
It was stated as intentional to protect the fabled "Design Space".
"Design Space" is the absolute worst explanation that the Hearthstone Devs give. Letting Rexxar get new beasts isn't going to break the game. Hunter sucks. Even Meme Hunter is starting to suck.
That's a shadow anduin in a warrior suit. He stole scroll of wonder from my deck, played it as I had mana bind up giving me another copy, and close to the end of the game when 7 out of my last 9 cards were scrolls while his deck was empty, he dropped archbishop benedictus.. only to draw renounce darkness scroll soon after.

Hmm, that's not what I get out of the statement by Mike Donais:
"The challenge was not a coding one. It was combining 2 text boxes into one across 15 languages. A lot of things that work ok in English don't work as well in other languages. When text is written for a card, it has very specific templates and line breaks and spacing to make it fit and look good and some languages actually have very different rules and would surprise you what they have to do.
I will mention it again to the guy who works with the 15 localization teams regardless."
Sounds basically like every time they would add new beasts to him, it would be a giant work effort just for that one card.

Yeah Donais and Brode override all other mouthpieces in my eyes.
I can absolutely believe that localizing the concatenated text boxes of every possible combo in every country is a workflow nightmare. It makes me sad they might not update the card, but also I can very much see how many man-hours that would be and wewlad.

If it's a code issue, their devs are absolutely terrible.
it's not a coding issue, Donais said as much
it's one of localization
Potato/Bananas. Saying localization is a crappy excuse.
Dude, they have to make the text boxes of very possible combination (which is a very large possibility-space) work in every language they ship Hearthstone in. I can absolutely 100% believe localization is an issue for this card. Localization is a lot harder than people give it credit for.

As someone who has to deal with localization I agree that it's hard, but dropping pretty major features for it seems really lazy.

I get the difficulties but it's still a fairly severe nerf to the card compared to what would be expected. It's as if after a rotation Lich King couldn't generate Death And Decay or Anti-Magic Shell anymore.

"it's just support for a single card" is a pretty disingenuous way to spin that
They would have to completely recode the implementation and/or perform localization adjustments (depending on which post you believe).
Which would take significant time and effort plus testing, which could have delayed the release of the expansion and the eight other classes getting the cards in a reasonable time frame.
Every development project ever has to make cuts and adjustments based on time constraints. They made one and it's not at all like the card is unplayable or not functional. This is wanting more than can be delivered.
i don't think it's a nerf. fewer options will mean more reliability, and i think the KFT set was specifically designed to give strong build-a-beast options. not updating might make it a far less fun card, but technically a better one.
it still sucks when devs omit changes like this from expansion/patch notes.
The player base will almost always discover this shit eventually, and it’s way better to get out ahead instead of giving people a chance to assume other motives

Losing Rat Pack and Dispatch Kodo stinks, those are insanely strong text minions to get.
So I preordered but didn't even open any packs last night because I had such a blast with Dungeon Run.
Played Shadow Priest and went 8-0 on my first run.
Double deathrattle is nuts with Val'Anyr, especially with only one creature in hand. First trigger gives a creature +8/+4, when that creature dies it triggers 4 times, kills the weapon three times for 6 deathrattle triggers or +24/+12. A third trigger would be 12 creature deathrattles and 24 weapon deathrattles for +96/+48. You really shouldn't need the third trigger though. I ended up with a 30/18 Golden Kobold that shielded me from death and killed the last boss in two swings.
So i can see quite a bit of rage in this expansion already. had a warrior ransom my deck, then use the 'replace your deck with 1 cost 'discover a card' spells, then when i ransomed it back, he gheisted me.

Dog played it for hours yesterday. It worked better than you'd expect!
So there's a card you can get that copies a minion for 1 and puts a version into your deck. If you face Ixlid he summons a 1/1 for 1 that's poisonous against heroes.
I was so scared because a priest basically just got a free Temporus on me.
Their first of two turns? Heal and end.
(That card actually probably has a place in some sort of OTK Priest, if you ever cast it with an Obsidian Statue up and Velen in hand you probably just win.)
Ok, remember how there was a thing for a while where priests would try to get the dragon from mage that gave you infinite hero powers?
I wanna get Temporus in rogue and somehow play Temporus and rogue DK on the same turn...
I will find a way!
Do you, in fact, have any builds in this shop at all?
Blargh, got to the seventh boss in this dungeon thing as Priest and it matched me against the Trogg dude that gets a free card whenever you cast a spell. Half my deck was spells. Back to the start.
I beat dungeon run with paladin. my two treasures were 'double your starting health, so having 200 health for the final boss (Was the beholder boss) helped a good bit. I never had a chance to use my last treasure tho, it was a rod of roasting 'casts pyroblast randomly until a hero dies'. I figured with 200 health i would have had a good chance of pulling a win with that.

Hey there, r/Hearthstone! Starting with the release of the new game mode for Kobolds and Catacombs on December 7th, Twitch is challenging ALL broadcasters to the $30,000 Dungeon Run Challenge.
Overview
The challenge is simple: obtain the Candle King cardback in the fewest attempts per class possible. The Candle King cardback is awarded for when you have cleared Dungeon Run with all 9 classes. Do you think you have the guts, the stamina, and the cunning to even post a perfect score of only 9 attempts?
The contest is broken down into two phases:
Phase 1 -- For 10 days upon expansion release, this will be an open call to all Twitch broadcasters to participate! Gather you best score by minimizing your attempts while clearing Dungeon Run. Every defeat or retire will count as an additional attempt for that class. Your final tally of attempts will be your score -- the lower, the better.
Phase 2 -- Upon verification of the top 10 scores, remaining finalists will qualify for the final Sudden Death survival round. Each finalist will have 24 hours to choose a class to clear the Dungeon run in as few attempts possible. The three best scores will be declared the winners! If necessary, in the event of a tie, survival rounds will repeat until a clear winner is determined.
Phase 1 of the Challenge begins at on December 7th the moment Kobolds and Catacombs releases on the Americas server and will conclude on December 17th at 11:59PM PST. Any submission after the deadline will be invalid. Phase 2 will be announced on a later date once the 10 finalists have been verified and contacted by Twitch.
Who can compete?
The Dungeon Run Challenge is open to everyone in most countries. Refer to the ruleset to see if your region is eligible to compete. The only requirement for sign-up is to stream your entire submission from beginning to end on Twitch.
When does it start? How long is the event?
The challenge upon immediate release of Kobolds and Catacombs.
On December 7th at 12pm PST, Kobolds and Catacombs will be dropping first on the Americas server. Europe and Asia server players can either start an Americas Hearthstone account to access the free Dungeon Run content (make sure to clear the tutorial first!) or simply wait for the expansion on their respective server on December 8th.
Phase 1 will end December 17th at 11:59PM PST, giving you a little more than 10 days for a submiss
How to Enter
To participate, simply use your Twitch account to broadcast the entirety of your submission under the “Dungeon Run Challenge” Community tab.
If you do not have a Twitch account, signing up is free and easy! We highly recommend you research how to stream on your own through the Twitch subreddit or other available resources online/posted at the bottom.
A valid submission must include:
A successful Dungeon Run completion with all nine (9) Hearthstone classes consecutively -- Druid, Hunter, Mage, Shaman, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior. Order of class completion does not matter. Repeating a class dungeon will only add to the attempts counter. Be careful not to repeat unnecessarily!
Entirety of the runs must be fully broadcasted on Twitch under the proper "Dungeon Run Challenge" Community tab. Any partial completion offline will invalidate the submission. Recordings are only valid submissions if broadcasted on the Twitch channel in its entirety.

How the fuck is anybody having consistent success at this damn dungeon run mode? I either get garbage non-synergistic card buckets and don't even make it past the 5th boss or I get a great deck and still get blown the fuck up by the final boss.
I'm simultaneously incredibly annoyed and angry at this mode and hopelessly addicted to it.

For Phase 2, there are no restarting accounts allowed.
