Yeah, the only way Dabo leaves Clemson is if "Mama calls" like Bear.
And I really think the only way Saban leaves or quits coaching at Bama is in a pine box.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Guess we will see. AD Moos has made it clear Riley has his job til after the Iowa game. So it's going to be a stressful couple weeks for UCF and Nebraska fans alike.

It'd be nice to be relatively excited about something. Nothing has excited me about Huskers football for 2 decades really. That was Scott Frost too!

I forget we have so many Nebraska fans here.
It's been such a bleh year it's no wonder we aren't more talkative about football
I'm only one point away from the coveted "Last place for someone who won a week(and submitted every week)" award

Thankfully there shouldn't be any reason for Texas to make another appearance in the pick em

Like, you'd think my strategy of "If a family member or me goes to/went to/works at the place" ->"If not, if there's a musical or song about the state, and if there is for both, pick the one with the better musical" -> "If not, guess?" would work perfectly.
Much like every other year of the Pick’ems, we recognize that Hate Week is a special time. A time when common decency and basic humanity go out the window, in favor of pure, unbridled hatred. And we would like to foster that hate, because ASP is actually a Sith Lord, and I his tool for sowing hate throughout the galaxy.
So, for Hate Week, we invite you all to submit your own write-up for the rivalry of your choosing. You can say anything (well, as long as you don’t break any forum rules) and be as biased as you want. Send them in a message to me, and I’ll make sure to add it to next week’s Pick’ems post.

Wait what.
Hate week ain't til next week though.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I like Herbstreit if for no other reason than when he started his career, I looked at the TV and said "who the fuck is this kid?" My roommate at the time was a huge Ohio State fan so I got to hear all about it, and I've just kind of liked him ever since.
And yes, I also did find out that he's about a decade older than I am. He's just got one of those faces I suppose.
I swear that I could count the number of times I have seen that man express anything resembling happiness on one hand.
His quote about not noticing that it was time to elect a new president because he had Alabama football occupying his time and headspace says a lot about the guy.
Supposedly Chip Kelly to UF. How do you Florida fans feel about that possibility?
And of course, Frost former teammates saying he wants Nebraska job.
I want to be excited for my team again but it's at least two excruciatingly awful losses away before anything gets said openly.
Most Florida fans would be ecstatic for the hire. He brings offense and the spread which is what fans want.
He has a few negatives, however, such as his disdain for recruiting and his show-cause he got hit with at Oregon.
The good news is that he'll be in Florida which is rich in speedy players so it will be easier than at Oregon.
I think a majority of fans would like Frost since it feels like he would be a more long term solution.
There is a lot of fear that Chip would use Florida to vault back into the NFL.
Hiring Chip Kelly also allows Florida to maintain its recruiting class and make the early signing period.
If Frost is the guy than we'd have to wait till at least the championship game which hurts recruiting a bit.
Straight Up (spread in parenthesis courtesy of ESPN)
Texas @ West Virginia (-3.5) - We don't talk about it enough, but West Virginia remains a great cultural fit for the Big 12. Loves offense? Check. Plays defense only as a courtesy? Check. Is ready to burn everything down at a moment's notice? Check. Check. Check. In Texas news, a Longhorn win either here or next week against their true rival Texas Tech would get them to bowl eligibility. Should be fun to watch the existential crisis Texas undertakes in the coming weeks!
Fresno State @ Wyoming (EVEN) - An update from everyone's favorite late-night, non-union Pac 12 equivalent, the Mountain West Conference: Fresno State can clinch their division with a win in the next two weeks. Which is convenient since they play the two-best teams in the Mountain division to close out the year. Wyoming needs a win here to keep their slim division title hopes alive. But really, I just wanted you all to know that the Mountain West's divisions are named Mountain and West, which is very good.
Arizona @ Oregon (EVEN) - If this line is even, then I assume everyone believes Oregon QB Justin Herbert will finally be returning from injury for this game. But really, give Khalil Tate the Heisman already.
#19 North Carolina State @ Wake Forest (-1.5) - Full disclosure: ASP picked this game, I started laughing, and then I saw that Wake Forest is already bowl eligible and is favored in this game, and I started laughing harder. I'm sure NC State fans will remain very calm and rational if they manage to lose this game.
Against the Spread (spread in parenthesis courtesy of Yahoo)
Navy @ #8 Notre Dame (-17.5) - Just a quick heads up as to how things went for Notre Dame last week.
Hang this shit in the Louvre. But, good news Irish fans, you may have gotten your ass handed to you on the field, but you did win the only fight that truly matters:
UAB @ Florida (-10.5) - lol a program that Alabama tried to shut down because they don't math so good down there is going to beat Florida in 2017.
Florida International @ Florida Atlantic (-14.5) - HOPE Y'ALL ARE ENJOYING THE LANE TRAIN, BECAUSE THIS SHIT IS GONNA ROLL FOREVER! No, seriously, after a bunch of weird dumb shit to start the year, like making Navy stick around for 3 extra hours just to play the final 5 minutes of a blowout, Kiffin has the Owls one win away from winning their division, which means you can go ahead and add Lane Kiffin to the list of head coaches that have won a division title before Jim Harbaugh.
THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES, THE HEROES OF THIS STORY @ fuck these assholes (-15.5) - We normally try to be neutral in the Pick'ems, but honestly, there is no program that deserves your scorn more than the University of Southern California. Is it because they're a bunch of entitled rich kids who have never had to struggle in their lives? Possibly. Is it because their athletic department (WAIT, I TAKE IT BACK, THEIR ENTIRE SCHOOL CHEATS AT SHIT) cheats so much that you have to assume it's a nervous tick at this point? Perhaps. Is it because they play in a stadium that has doubled as a porn location? Not really, that's just funny. In any case, fuck USC, and Sam Darnold is overhyped trash.
California @ #22 Stanford (-15.5) - THE BIG GAME! Which, much like the Crosstown Rivalry, has been pushed up a week early because Notre Dame is a special snowflake. Which is fine for UCLA and Cal fans, as we've just decided to take our already-existing rivalry and move it to that last week. Anyway, it's been quite a while since Cal has won the Axe, in part because Stanford has been very good while Cal is on their third head coach in 4 years. Also, the Big Game was originally started by US President Herbert Hoover, who arranged for the game to take place while he was student manager for the Stanford football team in 1892. See, history can be fun!
GAME OF THE CENTURY OF THE WEEK (spread in parenthesis courtesy of ESPN) (STRAIGHT UP)
#24 Michigan @ #5 Wisconsin (-7.5) - It surprised me to learn that, no, there is no dumb rivalry trophy for this game. I honestly swore that every B1G game had a rivalry trophy at this game, because that's what B1G football is all about. I have nothing really for this game; Wisconsin has played no one, so it's not surprising that they're undefeated, while Michigan has played teams but is coached by Jim Harbaugh which means they are cursed to never win anything of note. But this is a B1G football game in the GotCotW spot, which means I get to post this:
Posts
But like...Dabo has no reason to leave Clemson...it took him 4 years to build up that program and A&M would require something similar...
But that's the only situation I could see him leaving Clemson in, and I don't know if it's even al that likely
Yeah the Bama dream is if Saban retires in 3 to five years Dabo just slides right in there.
Whoops, I'll post the fixed results when I get home.
And I really think the only way Saban leaves or quits coaching at Bama is in a pine box.
Just rumor but not surprising if true.
Guess we will see. AD Moos has made it clear Riley has his job til after the Iowa game. So it's going to be a stressful couple weeks for UCF and Nebraska fans alike.

I just don't understand what could've gone wrong.

Yes, it’s called getting the word out early, since we’ll be including Friday games that week.
And also this year I get 2 straight weeks of Hate, as the Crosstown Rivalry is this week, while the Battle of California is next week.

Fuck Ohio State, they're a bunch of assholes
Herbstreit, though, I like him
Fuck Herbstreit. The only good Buckeye is Chris Spielman.
Y'all we're so fucking close to my current dream of Miami - Wisconsin, OU - Auburn CFP
I agree to both "bunch of assholes" and "fuck Herbstreit"
Fuck Michigan, except for the dozens of grads I work with, the several friends I have who went there, and the lovely Wolverines on this forum.
All the rest are trash though.
(Also my earlier "fuck Ohio state" excludes the buckeyes on this forum, of course)
Go Bucks, Beat Blue!
And yes, I also did find out that he's about a decade older than I am. He's just got one of those faces I suppose.
Like dude you went to Ohio State the school that has an existential crisis every time you lose a game
That song may be the most ironic thing in existence.
I can understand the college rivalry thing, but the government's official state promotion ads?
It was kind of sad.

it's just so funny that the "nothing but business" saban couldn't make it in the NFL like Belichick did
