...but no Tiamat's Wrath for some reason? OKAY FINE I'll CATCH UP ON THE EXPANSE LATER.

    FOR THE EMPEROR!

I love painting too much to field grey dudes or dudettes though I can understand why people do it. I just can't bring myself to do so though.

Well it piles up for various reasons
I still buy and build but I lack the time or feeling to paint sigh

the fact there is a game attached to my lovely miniature painting fun times is just a bonus.

I really don't like painting. Assembling? hell yes I will sink months into it at a time. Painting? It's like a job I'm not paid for :(

  • LockedOnTargetLockedOnTarget Registered User regular
I like painting but it takes me like several hours to do a basic infantry unit, something I care more about can be 20+ hours.

If I want to actually play the game then I have to play with unpainted stuff.

My love of painting fluctuates quite a lot, but my love of finishing miniatures is always high

I love painting, but I also love the look of raw plastic. Not so much with the grey plastic, but if it is a coloured plastic mini I will leave it at that.

I like the idea of painting more than actually painting.

Painting is huge slog until it comes to the last stage of detailing and highlighting, when it all comes together. Then it's alot of fun.

I just repainted a bunch of my forever-in-progress 30k imperial fists that I was never quite satisfied with as blood angels.

turns out after always dreading getting reds on the yellow doing it on purpose works really well.

In my experience the lighter colours (yellow, orange, whites) are way harder to paint and highlight than dark colours. Blue seems especially easy to get nice looking highlights on.

I mostly enjoy bringing models together to finish them off

So the whole process of building and painting and basing is way more enjoyable than actually playing

  • TheGerbilTheGerbil Registered User regular
I too enjoy being finished off.

Lord discordant went up for presale today. Anyone picking that up?

My friend messaged me yesterday to let me know that he's been playing actual competitive games, not quite at the top level but just below it. They livestream the games and everything. He invited me into the group on facebook. Theyve photoshopped the players' heads onto UFC fighters and are shit talking each other in the comments. It is delightful.

    Meet Shalaxi Helbane!

Built from the same kit as the Keeper of Secrets, this deadly character hunter is the first new named Slaanesh character in years and promises to be invaluable both in the Mortal Realms and 41st Millennium alike.

Part of me wants to get the new Slaanesh stuff for both AoS and 40k but recent events have made me change a lot of my finical plans. Still that is an impressive model but I think it's part of the Keeper kit

It's not quite lore, but Russian Badger and friends did a Deathwing video and it's A: Pretty funny, and B: a half decent introduction to 40k.

Nah man, we're on Holy Terra. There aren't any heretics here! The Emperor would kaboom them if there were!
