Does anyone remember if they actually used the Danny Elfman Batman sting in BvS at all?
Because that was one little element I really dug in this movie.
Not in BvS, because Elfman didn't score that one
He did an interview about his work on JL where he said he thought it was stupid that when they reboot series they decide to throw out the old themes and write new ones, he prefers some kind of continuity there
Presumably Zimmer don't care (as long as Zimmer gets paid)
I have a powerful thirst for Jason Momoa, like wow. I really liked his casual attitude, and the fact that he was just straight up already helping people, no strings attached. There's a lot of room for the character to grow into nobility, and his solo movie can lean into that.
Seemed like that's what the EXPOSITIONS scene with Mera was setting up. He's not really an Atlantean, yet.
The climax had zero tension, which was unsatisfying. Ultimately it wasn't a great movie, but it didn't damage the characters and did a lot to repair Superman from Man of Steel. Hopefully they can start salvaging the franchise from here.

I just saw an animated gif of how The Flash runs in this film and I have to ask, am I being punk'd?
Cards on the table. To me it's the best superhero soundtrack.
It's better than John Williams original.
it is definitely that to you

now that batman has changed his major to "committing alien guncrime," the title of world's greatest detective is up for grabs. farg makes a strong play

Internet detectives have seen some shit man
You know that scene in detective shows where the rookie sees a dead body and vomits
Internet Rookie Detective sees the wrong reddit at the wrong time and boom

"reddit? heh..... kid, I ain't reddit, I wrote the book"
here's a line from a movie where a grizzled old detective begrudgingly tutors an internet nerdlinger or something, maybe
In the vein of pointless details and minutia. I really miss the golden/yellow lightning for the Flash. The white lightning just looks so mundane in comparison.

Superman
So. A day out and my biggest memory of this movie
When they are carrying Clark into the magic resurrection pool and his head is the most egregious copy and pasted cgi I've ever seen. It looked like a JibJab video and it was adorable.
This concludes my opinions on the depictions of The Flash running. Thank you.

yeah those flash runs are good and what I'm used to, but I was very glad for something different

The Flash
Flash being bad at running is perfectly fine for this movie's Flash, who is bad at most things.
I actually kind of like it when superheroes are kind of shitty at things that their superpowers make preternaturally easy for them, especially starting out. Why learn proper running form if you're still the fastest man alive without it? If you're invulnerable and super strong, do you really need to know how to fight?

See I get it making sense
But the specific run they used was just so laughably stupid looking
It went from "he is inexperienced" to "he has literally never run before in his life and this is his first day with human legs, that is the only reason someone would ever run like that"

Superman
He looked like he was kinda of running in water. Which I liked as it adds a sort of alien quality to the speed force that usually just becomes fast place.
He looked like he was wearing socks on a hardwood floor that was just mopped or waxed and was trying to skate his way across to the other side of the kitchen

Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of freshly waxed hardwood floors, always taking constant care not to trip, to fall over. Never allowing myself to lose control even for a moment, or I could get seriously injured.

Oh, goodness, no, not at all.
Actually if they had stuck with it the whole
Movie, I think it might not have bothered me so much.
I definitely recall scenes where he ran like a regular human, which made the ones where he ran like the mime-comedian guy we had come to my Jr. High to speak against the dangerous of drugs and alcohol stand out quite a bit more.

The Williams Superman score is the sonic representation of the entire concept of superheroes, to me

But it did have the Lex Luthor theme for us to all be thankful for.

I feel like you need a lot of very fast arm motion in a good Flash run, not a "looks like he's jogging, but the background is blurry" run.
The Flash show does both types, but sometimes it really pulls it off
(Season 2 ending)
And Injustice 2 I think really captured it

And even the worst of us probably looks more convincing than The Flash
