    DHT timer is pretty tight when you have an affix like bursting preventing you from going too fast

    I did a +15 COS with some mythic guild that was just picking anyone above 935 with Bloodlust. I got hit by a fireball from an imp for 2.7 million damage.

    in our 16 nelths I got hit for the following over about 3 seconds

    3.4million (stone bolt)
    3.4 million (stone bolt)
    1.8 million (stone bolt overkilled you)

    Fuck stone casters.

    looks like they buffed Argus on normal and heroic a fair bit
    Argus the Unmaker

    Cheat Death and similar effects will not reset their cooldowns when you die during the final phase of the Argus the Unmaker encounter.
    Boss Health increased by 10% on Normal and Heroic difficulties
    Soulbomb and Soulburst now deal periodic damage more rapidly
    Edge of Obliteration damage increased by 50%
    Constellar elemental vulnerabilities reduced from +200% to +100% damage taken

    I think we still would have downed him last week at this level but I guess we'll find out tonight.

    It’ll be tragic if we have any 0-9% progression wipes, since that would have killed him before. 10% health buff is pretty huge (but he still seems a lot easier as a final boss than archimonde!)

    On Argus on normal we basically one shot him and that death phase was Trippy as shit.

    What causes the tree to despawn? A set number of rezes?

    After a certain amount of rezzes, the tree will start taking a stacking dot every time someone uses it. It eventually becomes too much for our healers and dies.

    The tree has an energy bar and a health bar. Every Rez depletes the energy bar, and once it's empty starts taking constant damage that can be healed through somewhat, but does pretty fast regardless.

    The long and short is that it gives buffs that are pretty important to meeting the soft enrage.

    Normal it means literally nothing because the soft enrage isn't there, but in heroic there are actually two soft enrages. The fact that certain deaths are entirely unavoidable, so you only have X number of free uses before those start gibbons you outright, and the tank rebuff in the last phase never falls off, so you can't really do anything but survive as long as you can, then you die

    Great jorb tonight guys! Already single night clear and nearly flawless execution of normal mode with only like, two silly wipes.

    And we even busted three heroic bosses like they were nothing.

    Reading up on balance druids and the consensus is that t21 is garbage and you should just keep using t20 especially if you have mythic quality pieces.

    I only got my Druid to 110 on Friday so i do not but man I’m glad they’re getting rid of set bonuses.

    So are set bonuses just vanishing completely or are they being replaced in some fashion?

    Cause I always liked the idea of set bonuses even if lots of them are either bad or absolutely required to not be shit

    Parsing is always a bit wonky for the first couple of weeks in a new raid, as some people get super lucky with gear drops and some get squat, but it usually settles down after a month.

    Also Brewmaster is in the same boat regarding tier sets. T21 is so laughable that it's not recommended at all, and T20 is so strong that the Discord community is recommending it at any ilevel, and I'm inclined to agree.

    They've talked about that new "Heart of Azeroth" artifact neck piece having unlockable bonuses that may fill the role of "let's give them some crazy buffs and change up the gameplay a little", that set bonuses have been doing for so long.

    However if what you'll be missing is a neat set of gear for each class to collect... well I'm not sure they've said that'll survive.

    I dunno, but it really pissed me off that without any warning they just decided to cut Arms dps overnight.

    It was a significant nerf to our 4 piece and it's not like anybody is running around with set bonuses from Antorus to replace that shit.

    (I would be super happy if they stopped making it fucking required for some classes to wear so much set armor because it is really fucking annoying right now when I can't equip half the gear drops from Antorus because whoops I need to use four of these slots of set gear and I have to that slot for a legendary so I only have one piece of gear that I can float around as sometimes it's best for me to be using the non-set shoulderpads right now or the non-set chestpiece right now, etc. etc.)

    I like the idea of set bonuses, and how they can provide slight changes to your class without a major overhaul, keeping things a bit fresh during a long expansion. But it's clear that they've gotten to the point where the balance is too delicate between mandatory and useless, so just removing them outright is a good thing. Having to pug previous-tier Mythic raids just to be competitive in the current tier is ridiculous.

    Set bonuses are great but yeah if you keep having to make new ones every single raid tier for god knows how many classes/specs there are now the balance becomes extremely difficult and tedious while also trying to make them fresh and interesting and not boring flat bonuses

    dropping them entirely in order to make other cool bonuses in other areas that are easier to balance and keep interesting seems like a real smart idea
