I know it's generally frowned upon, but I looked through the archives twice...and i guess maybe i clicked through too fast but i can't find the comic where gabe and tycho talk about EA and how they don't have any characters and said stuff like "football guy" and "race car guy".
Did I imagine this comic? It was too funny for me to think of...
But for some reason I think they were talking about the Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects game. I think it may have been about the initial announcement, hence the making fun of EA characters..
THANK YOU SO MUCH! oh man, my friend's friend was boasting about how she knows someone who works at EA and trying to brag to me so I instantly though of that comic as a come back (this was over AIM) but couldn't find it...
No problem, man. Once you mentioned it, it actually started to drive me nuts not being able to easily find it. But this little squirrel will hunt for his nuts, oh yes he will.
Started around mid 2005 (my estimation of time frame) on the archives and just worked my way backwards one by one until I saw the familiar alien panel you described. A labor of love.
It's an add-on for Firefox that adds meta-tags to the PA strips, and then you can search through those tags. It's much easier to find the strips you're looking for with it.
