Fruitcake’s perfectly tasty! It’s boozy, it’s got little jelly candies in it.

What is the deal with people going ‘what is the deal with fruitcake’

Zephiance loves fruitcake. I find it to be too sweet and not great.

Also @Chimera I enjoyed watching a bit of MST3K, even tho for some reason my camera turned on when I joined and I had to quickly cover my face to preserve my top secret identity, and then my computer crashed

Yes, wait no, wait... Look can casual eddy explain why fruitcake is a misunderstood treat of yesteryear that only modern sensibilities say is bad?

credeiki I've been reading a couple of books on the yakuza and Japanese post-war crime syndicates and I am hankering to play Blades in the Dark all over again

simonwolf I was just thinking today about how well Blades mechanically deals with the interactions of the pcs with the local community, with the explicit addressing of reputation, turf, heat, etc. I'm sad the campaign I was in fizzled; one of the many reasons, I think, is that the GM couldn't figure out how granularly to zoom in on downtime (if/when do you roleplay things out, does the GM say what happens or the player, etc) and how/whether to have interactions that happen during downtime but aren't strictly covered by the two actions per person. I'd be really interested in seeing how another GM handled that.

Hm! That is a good set of things to ponder

I've got too many games on my list of 'Things To Run During My Post-Submission Downtime'

I am glad that today is over, and all the suits won't be around at work tomorrow, and that I have all-day training 3 out of four days next week, and then I don't have to return until jan 2

because I am pretty tired of my work's shit right now

ideally, come the new year I'l have a bit more knowledge on whether or not I can get a new position but right now the uncertainty is killing me

Fruitcakes are like the before times gift card to generic chain restaurant. Both gifter and giftee know it will be in turn regifted to someone else.

You can't do that with fertilizer.
