    It's very MtG circa early-mid 2000s.

Team 5 really hates learning from MtG's past mistakes, it's a bit weird.

    Mirrodin/Darksteel era feels about apt.

It's not quite as bad as Mirrodin, but yeah, feels very much about trying to ignore the rules of the game as much as possible.

Dusted some stuff. Made Kingsbane and also made a second...that rogue epic that puts 4/4 in your deck.

Still have to find a Kingsbane deck that I love.

I totally called big spells priest with FFA and MC being a thing, btw.

This expansion is neat because there's so many decks that people are finding success with, even if there's an overtone of Corridor Creeper.

Any decent Molten Giant Shaman decks? I'm wanting to try a OTK healing rain deck and I figure a Molten Giant deck would be a decent fit. Goal is to go hard with weapons etc to get your health down. Then drop the giants, lightwardens and whatever else to distract the opponent from the lightwardens. Then next turn, healing rain and go face. I've never really played a giant deck before and I'm mostly finding Shaman decks that focus on the other giants.

Yes. KotFT and KnC have both massively raised the power level of the game. KnC even more so with all the mana cheat/duplicating minions/spells that summon everyone and their fucking mother.

I think this is my biggest complaint. Beyond just the neutral minions issue, there so many decks that are just doing stuff for free, or grabbing huge mana spikes via possessed lackey or spiteful summoner.

It feels really hard to play fair. You just get blown out by people doing super broken things.

Whenever I'm a very sad secret mage and all my secrets are buried or I can't cheat anything out, even via apprentice it just feels so bad, all I can do is play okay-but-not-great statted minions and some removal on curve

There's wide diversity? There's 2-3 good decks and the rest are people just experimenting. Only priest has more than one viable archetype, and it's still fundamentally Raza/Anduin just with a different shell.

If you're aggro you start with - pirate package, creeper, sometimes keleseth.

If you're control you start with - creeper, tar creeper, bone mare.

If you're midrange you're probably just boned.

I mean you could make the argument that there's always been 2-3 decks because they fall into a few archetypes.

There are lots of viable classes right now, which is awesome.

Also Big Priest is still really good, people are stomping around with it in high legend.

Finally beat the Warrior run off the back of x2 copies of Enemy minions cost 1 mana more and Wax Rager (bonkers OP).

Edit: Final boss was the Dragon. I got the Wand that draws three making them 0, which pulled Varian, which pulled 3 fatties. Next turn I played Blood Warriors to fill my hand with big minions and grinded him out.

Played some shaman for quests and yeah seems to be in a poor spot. That said I really like unstable evolution. Sure it's less efficient then evolve but it gives you the ability to negate bad rolls or stick with good ones. And it's great for rounding out a turn.
