I think Lillia is actually quite good, though I've been playing basically only Nexus Blitz Lillia. She does take a bit to get going, but you really don't catch her if she has her MS bonus, so she just darts around the edges of fights and kites you forever. Her ultimate is strong, too.
Unrelatedly, am I just getting old or are some champion abilities distinguished less clearly than they used to be? I feel like at a glance Yone's Q3 and R aren't visually distinctive enough from one another.

What is this shit? I remember getting good rewards from honoring up.

I got an Honor 4 orb with nothing but champion shards in it. I own all of the champions. RNGesus must be displeased.
Wow they gutted sona in this last patch, and she wasn't even seeing much play I don't think.
Sona's busted in very particular pairings (sona/lux, sona/tarric, sona/tahm, etc.). They have to rebalance her at some point because they've failed to make her viable as a support while not being busted in a farm roll.

Sona lux was figured out though. Either go aggressive in lane, or pick a roaming support with an adc that can farm safely alone. Then they can only spell thieves one person.

Screw high solo que players. It wasn't op for gold abd silver*. And that's what they should balance for!
*no clue if it was op in lower ranks. I actually like seeing sona, she was one of the first supports i played and enjoyed.

Yea. I like Sona too, but her kit is just so hard to balance. If her poke is strong, she's op. If her heal is too strong, then she's op. So you gotta keep both in check, but then why are you playing her? She's just OP OP with aoe buffs, or you have to let her be OP like that, but then she's cannon minion fragile, which is awful too.
They can definitely rework her into something workable if they ditch the auras and play more into power chord. Auras are just too unappreciated by players because they feel "meh" but they're very strong (see: old Aegis).

Game one fly vs c9 Santorum picked lilia. Its been a thibg of beuty 10 minutes in. Dashing in ans out , keeping people on tje edge for the true damage. Im impressed with his play on her.
Game 1 c9 vs fly
That was only one game, and they obviously had a plan goinginto it, but that was one hell of a plan. Wonder if they can.keep the momentum up in game 2 or if their strategy for game 1 was all they had.
I really like flyquest, so easy to love them. But what the fuck is up with c9? I figured they'd dominate come best of 5's. They no longer look like a team I'm excited about playing internationally
Technical problems are what eill make or break e sports and covid isnt helping.

It's easy for us as low elo players to say they should only balance around low elo but that is not Riot's goal. They have target metrics in each elo band (including low) that each champion needs to reach and that they balance around. There's also special balancing around worlds that they've talked about in the past couple days.

Good context though -- I didn't know about the "balance framework," that's pretty cool.

I think it's interesting because if I were working as an analyst putting together a balance framework, I probably wouldn't do it that way (I think my ideas would be worse, although I haven't thought it through very much). I would focus disproportionately on low elo because that's where the majority of the playerbase is, because I would weight whatever scores I generated by the # of people affected. What they did by creating skill bands with vastly different populations is not super complex, and totally works, but it honestly wouldn't be the first thing I tried, although maybe I would implement something like that once people complained that my balancing rules weren't catching the various champions perceived to be OP, let alone anything in pro play.
I also like using pick ban as the metric in pro play since win rate doesn't work cause there aren't enough players or games, and some teams win more than others and choose certain strats more often than others.

Can someone explain to me this worlds qualification stuff?
How can someone already be qualified for worlds if worlds goes to the top 3 placed teams?
I feel like I'm missing something here.
Got it sorted.
The 3rd place match isn't for 3rd/4th. It's for finals/3rd.
They really need to show the bracket more clearly on their website.

I thought zven choked in the flyquest series and got caught out at key times. Much like how he lost the tl tsm series a year ago. Lets see how he does today.
Im so sick of seeing lee sin. I actively root for lee sin teams to lose. He cab do a flashy kick, and thats it? I dont get the champ, can't play the champ, and q ward hop r is old at this point. I guess its just that good?
