Sorry to hear this, I always liked the song Zombies by them.

The Cranberries were foundational in building my music sensibilities. No Need To Argue was one of my first albums I ever bought. They're still one of my top 3 favorite musical groups, and I have all of their albums (plus the two solo albums Dolores put out herself). I was lucky enough to see them when they went on tour for their reunion/Roses album.
when my daughter was tiny at the start of last year, dreams came on sort of randomly at a couple of different significant times, and it grew to become pretty special
so this morning when it came on the radio, after i read the news, i got pretty upset
life is special guys. fucking appreciate it.

I dropped these over in the 90s thread where this first came up (and it's how I found out about this news).
This one hurts, the Cranberries were my gateway to punk, and Dolores herself basically is responsible for my love of punk aesthetic and was my first celebrity crush.
I just realized that now there is not a single band I listened to in my early teens that hasn't been broken by death.
The Cranberries was the last of them, and I thought it would be much later...because they weren't that much older than me.

I haven't heard anything after their self titled album that I enjoyed
So sure!
Oh I can't agree with that
Ten, VS, and Vitalogy were damn fine albums
