Speaking of, did Blizzard do anything interesting for April Fools this year?
I seem to remember them putting a decent effort in each year for all of their games, but I haven't played a Blizzard game in a while now.

Ya blizzard is usually the one that does it right and makes up for all the other terrible april 1st jokes each year, but I saw nothing in Overwatch or Sc2 either ( Last year sc2 they had co-op mode become 1vs1 and it was a blast, everyone was hoping for it again this year)
Wonder if there was worry about doing something during Easter and getting called offensive

One player controls Cho and drives the character and is basically the tank and throws out bombs.
The other character controls Gall and detonates the bombs and is unCC'able and can use other high damage abilities.
And your name appears as the first three letters of Cho and the last four letters of the Gall players names.
So if say, Stilts and I were playing and Stilts was Cho and I was Gall it would appear as Sti'nkus on the screen.

They had a pretty good April Fools joke on the World of Warcraft page; they announced BFA (the next expansion) would add a bunch of roving 'mini-holidays' that were various absurd themes and effects. There was some funny stuff there, but I can't really remember the details. I was surprised there wasn't anything on the main Blizzard landing page this year, though.
(It seems to be saddened by the thought of leaving.)
(It looks upset at being told to go home, mayhap because it has no home to go to.)
(It seems confused when you ask it to leave.)
(It seems excited. It may have thought you wanted to give it a treat.)

I had to train myself to just mash the confirm button fast enough to do it before the text could display. I think I empathize too strongly with my game characters in general. For another example, I've just recently started playing Pokémon Sun, and nowadays they have a bunch of tamagotchi-style interaction you do with your mons between fights to groom and feed them, and this builds affection over time which gives them some pretty OP buffs? But it makes them way too real to me. So, AFAIK when you transfer a pokemon from your party to the PC boxes, it seems to blank their affection stat. It was like pulling teeth the first time I needed to box a pokemon with maxed affection. I still feel like I let him down.

Ugh. I spent about an hour configuring Valkyria Chronicles, fucking with framerates and resolutions so it didn't stutter and look like ass, watched all the intro videos up until the first tutorial, finished the tutorial... and that's where the game crashes. Twice. I've got 45 minutes logged, of which about 5 is actual gameplay.
On the one hand, I guess I get to cross something off my backlog. On the other, I usually like to cross shit off because I actually played it, y'know?
Yeah, like, why would developers feel the need to do that?

I'm genuinely shocked they didn't. April Fool's jokes that turn out to be real are instantly a million times funnier.
