you ever touch a 9 volt battery terminals first to your tongue on a dare? imagine that feeling but more and also hooked straight to an already aggravated nerve ending.
Yeah dental work sucks.

who has two thumbs and once had a dentist have to inject Novocaine directly into the active nerve of the tooth he was drilling.
This guy right here.
That's basically how mine went, he warned me "okay this is going to be very painful for about a second, and then I can shoot some novacaine in and you'll be alright, so bear with it"
And yeah that's pretty much how it went, about a second of white hot blinding pain and then it was good.
I went to a boardgame convention, got $25 from running a game, dropped $200 on a game Kickstarter, and am falling deep down the OSR RPG rabbit hole, you?
I know that Girlfriend is like The Song in Burnout Paradise but I've been listening to the OST playlist EA put up on Spotify and while there's a lot of trash, some of it is really good. Like, I think Beautiful Ruin might be my actual favorite from the soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9jyauZuT7w

Goddamnit, @Inquisitor . . . Why didn't you invite me?

Because i’m dumb!
Convention is called strategicon and it runs three times a year, i’m signed up for the other two tim s this year already
I agree. UTU2M “season one” if you will was magic in a bottle. Not that the few newer episodes they’ve done have been bad by any means, but when they attempt to recreate the magic of the shows original run it falls a bit flat.
(I also think they got a bit too close to the subject matter, as happy as I am for them, but that’s another story).
Personally I don’t really get the cosmetic prices folks are willing to pay, like $10 ship skins in EVE. But as long as there’s no randomness in the pay, get cosmetics process I can’t begrudge anyone too much.

I can begrudge capcom for charging 4 dollars for an emote
I can absolutely begrudge a company for charging outrageous prices for cosmetic stuff, because they have a significant amount of psychological pull to try and manipulate people into buying them. Video games can pull all of the impulse buy tricks but with the added benefit of being able to dangle that carrot for hours, instead of minutes. Hell, some of the big companies have literally been devoting development resources into finding more effective ways to coerce players into spending on microtransaction, to the point of leaked board meeting presentations that look like they're adapted from a PUA seminar.
Hey man if the market can bear it who are we to criticise
Nobody, I bet
I used to work for a small business that bordered on extorting the computer illiterate and boy let me tell you how much the owner loved the phrase "what the market can bear".
It’s steep (coulda been a few bucks for both emotes and the stickers instead of 10 total) but I don’t begrudge extra dlc costing money (especially immersion-breaking silly cosmetic stuff like this) because they still gotta pay artists and devs to stay on staff after development is completed to make this stuff.

I am extremely skeptical that they would be unable to properly pay their employees without charging $4 for a single emote

Just catching up on bombast
I dont normally have problems with cosmetic stuff costing money in games
But 4 dollar emotes in monster hunter is insane
Sure but on the flipside, there's only, like, two emotions, so they weren't gonna make any money if they charged less for them.
Oh yeah, it's inexcusable
That being said...
The Hadokun one produces an actually fireball......
