    Happy Lurk Year!

    (did I do it right?)

Can't lurk now; sneezing too loudly because of cedar fever. Perhaps later.

Checking my schedule, I see that it is high time I did some lurking.
    Lurk, lurk, lurk, lurk.
'k, that's enough. Don't wanna overdo it and have too much of a lurk thing.

    I repeat my initial statement.

I wonder if the campers ever got any hand sanitizer in their supply drops.

Probably only if it was defective and/or had deleterious side effects.

  • SargeSarge Registered User regular

It's Lurk O'clock. Do you know where your lurkers are?

  • hajenhajen Registered User regular
May the Lurk be with you.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone. I'll lurk in the shadows, eating a taco.

  • SargeSarge Registered User regular
Happy "NATIONAL HAVE A COKE DAY"
But seriously, don't. That stuff will rot your teeth.

  • hajenhajen Registered User regular
when i saw that, i thought, surely it must actually be (air quotes) national cola day; possibly sponsored by coca cola, but no, it is a corporation totally setting a day aside for just their product.
i really shouldn't be surprised, since this sunday is National Hallmark® Day, formerly known as Mother's Day.

Lurk Inspector, here to inspect the lurks and make sure they are all lurking properly.

fun fact: it was composed by Brian Eno
“The thing from the agency said, ‘We want a piece of music that is inspiring, universal, blah-blah, da-da-da, optimistic, futuristic, sentimental, emotional,’ this whole list of adjectives, and then at the bottom it said ‘and it must be 3.25 seconds long.’

“I thought this was so funny and an amazing thought to actually try to make a little piece of music. It’s like making a tiny little jewel.”

Eno soon became obsessed by this task, creating 84 different pieces of music – the other 83 of which I’d love to see the light of day at some point.

“I got completely into this world of tiny, tiny little pieces of music”, he continued. “I was so sensitive to microseconds at the end of this that it really broke a logjam in my own work. Then when I’d finished that and I went back to working with pieces that were like three minutes long, it seemed like oceans of time.”

Ironically, Eno used a Mac to create the piece, admitting to BBC Radio 4 in 2009 that “I’ve never used a PC in my life; I don’t like them.”

I miss Camp Wedonwantcha but I'm thinking of selling my merch collection. Thought I'd let all the lurkers have the first opportunity to bid.
We're talking the hardcover Vol 1 book, the tote bag, the CWKS15 shirt (Mens XXL) and six post cards. All from the Kickstarter. Anyone interested?
