Some people are having trouble adding Hitman Episode 2 to their Steam accounts. If that's your case, try following these steps which worked for me:
-First, make sure you have HITMAN™ Free Trial already added to your account. If you don't, use this link to begin installing it and to add it to your account:
steam://run/649780
-Once you have on your account (you can check it here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/) use the following link to add Episode 2:
steam://install/439890
Also, if you're still mulling over buying the whole game (season), once you've added the free Episode 2 it will remove its price from the bundle list, so it'll be a little cheaper than if you bought it first.

Aaaaagh! Steam updated, and apparently they put in some DPI thing that makes everything huge on a 1080 screen. Does anyone know how to get my nice, small interface back without changing my computer's default settings?
Last time I had this issue is when the browsers all did this and I had to find add-ons to zoom stuff back out . . .

Message/friend me on Steam if you decide to get Lethal League. It's pretty fun multiplayer and I haven't had the chance to play it in a long while. It'll be good practice for the sequel!

My Steam updated. I'm on a 1080 monitor. Nothing looks any different to me?

Probably because you have the thing itself set to 100%, i.e. default. I have it set to 125% so the taskbar and desktop icons aren't really tiny.

I have my 1440p display set to 125%, which brings it roughly in the same sort of ballpark as 1080p at 100% on my old machine. Steam looks like it's got cleaner text now but showing at the same size as it had before the update, only the spacing on the list in detail view is a tad wider, and the scrolling is nowhere near as smooth as it was (although I suspect a further update might fix that, I certainly hope so).
The patch notes mention an ability to switch the new scaling mode on or off on Linux via environment variable, but not on Windows or MacOS. But I think the mode is a totally different implementation. http://store.steampowered.com/news/38412/
As for browsers, at least in Firefox (not sure about the others), Ctrl & mouse wheel lets you zoom in and out to your heart's content (Ctrl+0 to reset to default). Sadly not in Steam, though!
I saw something about a scaling option under Compatibility in the Steam shortcut properties in Windows, but couldn't get it to do anything.
Played through Detention the past few nights. That was a rather well done adventure game.
It tells its story well. A story of a very specific time and place, told through an almost Silent Hill-like ghost story.
I can't remember who was talking it up here a while back, but I will add my own reccomendation to that one.
I feel like Monkey Island 3 and onwards is when they stopped being considered "classics", hence the lack of a gussied up remaster with commentary and new graphics.
I think MI3 is a classic. I also don't think it needs a remaster, it still looks fantastic. I'll definitely be picking that up (and then never finding time to play it).
Crystal Dynamics has offered an official statement about the cancellation of these remasters.
“While we always welcome passion and excitement for the Tomb Raider franchise, the remasters in question were initiated and advertised without seeking approval. As such, they were never officially sanctioned. Ensuring fans receive high quality gaming experiences is at the heart of our mission as a company, which requires all projects to go through proper channels. We are thrilled about the future of Tomb Raider, and cannot thank fans enough for their continued support and excitement for the brand.”
Sweet, I have whatever the first one was for 360, wanted to check out a new one but didn't really want to spend money so this will be good to see if they've improved. Thanks for the heads up!

Elder Scrolls Online free to play for five days. I'm interested, but jesus, 85Gb? I imagine there are still people who need more than five days to download that.

It's saying 67.8 GB for me, and should take just over 3 and a half hours. Provided I kept it going. However, we also have mostly good internet speeds.

How am I supposed to handle this? WHAT DO I DO???
Well normally you seem to just play your existing MMOs and ignore your backlog or new purchases so it actually works out this time!

While you're not really wrong, I think you're underestimating just how badly I want SoD2, or how many bazillion hours I expect to lose to it...

Yeah, a friend of mine was just messaging me about this. It's not connecting to Steam for her.

It's not enough to have a wishlist of games that exist. Now I have a wishlist of games that I wish existed.

So if they didn't, like, somehow butcher this game, I'll probably pick it up again just out of nostalgia.
