why does everyone have to adopt veganism when people are growing all that delicious flesh on their bones
i had very little trouble as a vegetarian. i stayed away from meat substitutes and mostly it was fine. veganism would have been tough because eggs and cheese. now both are mostly out of the question because finances (cheap cuts of chicken) and low carb, which is a real fucking chore on veg

My biggest problem with vegan or vegetarian food is that it's often so obsessed with trying to find a meat subsitute (which invariably suck). Just cook vegetables. It's not that fucking hard.

yeah. i made a blackbean patty that was ok and also tofu is interesting and its own thing- americentric attitudes think of it as a fake vegetarian protein, rather than a food of its own.
but all the pea protein chicken patties and soy sausages and whatever- all of those were trash ime compared to just eating veggies, pasta, etc
at least the ones not attempting to be meat and are just attempting to be a vegetable patty that you fry up and put on a bun

Basically imagine if most baked goods sucked. That's veganism vs vegetarianism.
My story about this is that in my lab there was a gluten free person, a vegan person, and a person who liked to bake cakes for everyone's birthday.
It is possible to make a decent vegan cake. It is possible to make a decent gluten free cake. It is not possible to make a decent gluten free vegan cake.

oh nice. My younger son was born at the Group Health (now Kaiser Permanente) on Cap Hill.

They don't do L&D anymore, I found out today :sad:
oh that's too bad. It was a pretty good experience all things considered. They had a super experienced older guy who did the epidural that was exceedingly skilled at it (so I am told).

I find that one of the strongest indicators of whether a vegan restaurant will suck is if each meal is designed to look like a non-vegan meal: not-steak with potatoes and not-butter on the side, fried not-chicken sandwich, etc etc

So I found my "pro wrestling" fix and uh it is actually early-mid 2000's UFC so far. Cancelled my WWE NEtwork sub a couple months ago and so far UFC Fight Pass is well orth the $10 a month.
