As long as we are proud of who we are and what we are fighting for, there is nothing we cannot achieve. This was a sinister fucking speech. It will be largely overlooked because Trump just read a teleprompter and didnt go off the cuff, so it can masquerade as just a usual political speech. However the implication of a lot of this was either maliciously evil or a weaponisation of the banality of evil.
It's a cake of emotionally manipulative anecdotes, with a frosting of fascism, and sprinkles with a mix of colors of "I'm awesome!" and pure terror.

And they didn't even try to find out. Or maybe they're just purposefully being vague because nobody can actually agree on what to do.
So they're just like, "Uhhh, congress, plz do something???"
But also it's all like, so deliberately vague, they can pretty much do anything and claim victory. "ask congress to pass legislation to help ensure that American foreign-assistance dollars always serve America's interests" is a complete nothing sentence. That's not a policy proposal, it's blatantly nothing but hot air.
