God, I keep forgetting that this Odd-Even Deck thing will be a mechanic in WW. I can't wait for that. It's limiting, which may be a little frustrating, but... I'm eager to just see what works and what doesn't.
I'm wondering if people start running Mindbreaker to just really fuck with everyone's curve if it becomes common.
There is no situation where you run Mindbreaker
If the new meta was (hypothetically, as I'm not sure it will take off at all) all-odd or all-even decks that upgrade Hero Powers, you wouldn't play a 3-mana 2/5 that shuts that shit down?
Why?
We already have evidence that mindbreaker isn't worth running: Raza priest was oppressive to the point that Raza got nerfed, and mindbreaker was nowhere to be seen.
Yeah, but... that's an old meta, right? And WW is new meta? Might be worth revisiting.
Edit: It would be really nice if you could pull Mindbreaker off of Call to Arms. Super strong. But you can't, because it costs (3).

The reason Mindbreaker wasn't run against Raza priest is mindbreaker sucks against priest.
2 attack/ 5 health. dies to EVERY SINGLE THING PRIEST HAS.
How's everyone getting on with the packs for quests?
I've scored a Kobolds, KFT and Witchwood pack thus far. Obviously most excited about the witchwood pack because I've already got what I need from the other sets (in theory anyway, barring any massive meta shifts)
Ive gotten a Classic (didn't even know that was possible) and a Witchwood.

My point is that it's quite vulnerable in general. I would be very surprised to see it be effective after rotation.

Tundra Rhino (Now they have Charge and that changes shit quite a bit all of a sudden),
Not really. Rush dosent let you attack heroes as part of the ability. Giving it charge wouldn't overwrite that.
Actually you have it opposite.
Mike Donais confirmed that the keywords read like this
Charge:This minion can attack the first turn it is summoned
Rush: This minion can attack other minions the first turn it is summoned
There's actually no restriction against hitting face built into Rush. It just doesn't override the fact that normally minions can't hit face the first turn they are summoned.
A minion with Rush and Charge is functionally identical to a minion with just Charge (barring effects that specifically require the Rush keyword, of course).
Hm... I'm trying a Secret Face Hunter that I saw on Hearthpwn, but I'm not having any success with it. Druids, Dude Pallies, Priests... losing to all of 'em.
Well, I'm about to win this game, I guess. Complaining on the forums always helps.
Wait - maybe not. Oh, yes, actually, I win, thanks to Deathstalker Rexxar. Maybe my first time ever playing that card? That swing felt goooood.

Is this confirmed or speculative?
Edit: never mind, I read the rest of the thread. derp.
Speculative but based off of the video they showed and also the way the website was worded:
Minions with the Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately after they hit the board, either by being played or summoned. They cannot attack heroes until the turn after they enter play, however.
Don't mind being wrong though since that makes it better.

I had some fun with it in my C'thun deck, plopping down C'thun and immediately copying him with Zola the Gorgo, but Twig of the World Tree is a novelty legendary.

You plunk down Forest Guide and the enemy won't kill him because the enemy is getting cards, too. You wait a few turns until you draw your Voidcaller and turn that 1/6 wimp into a 6/1 glass cannon.
Forest Guide
4 Mana
1/6
At the end of your turn, both players draw a card.

i am really, really not feeling very confident about Druid this set from these reveals so far. i know there's only been 4 so far. but they're all bad fucking cards. i don't think team 5 has any idea of what they want to do with Druid
i don't know what Druid is going to look like and where Druid is even heading
it's just the same kinda shit that they've been giving Druid for the past 3 expacs: just a smattering of random non-synergistic shit, tossing darts at a dartboard, hoping something sticks, most of it doesn't.... with the occasional good card like UI or Branching Paths or Spreading Plague, but those being the kind of piecemeal cards that strengthen a shell as a whole rather than forming it.
edit: at the very least... spiteful druid should still be a thing post-expac. that will... probably be the go-to shell, tbh, unless literally every other druid card is some gangbusters shit. aggro druid might still be a thing, but they did not recover well from the patches/corridor nerfs.

You can totally Oakheart him, though.

2 priest wins and 3 taunts
then my other one I gotta play a bunch of spells but the rest is gooooooooooood

that's a playable legendary right? I don't need the dust anyway but I wanna make sure, at least in theory
It's... technically playable? In the strictest sense.
Like it's an uncommon card in Quest and Recruit Druid which are tier 5 decks.
That said I wouldn't recommend dusting any Legendary this close to expansion time, since you never know.

ah okay, for some reason I thought it was included in more than that but I guess not
yeah, won't be rushing to dust it anyway. thanks.

warlock has killed god and taken his power
god is dead
and there is only gul'dan
now the remaining eight heroes of warcraft must band together to stop this new threat
