I had brunch with my friend yesterday. We also went to a second hand bookshop, and she bought me a book on Soviet Planes. Still not sure if it was a date or not, but I had a nice time and we’ve made plans to hang out again soon.

Depends, really. Is the Yak-38 in the book? Because if so, she's a marriage prospect.

Well that's a long and glorious tradition with the Soviets in general
I always love how they developed the K-13 Missile, which is basically a carbon copy of the Sidewinder AKA the most widely used missile in the western world. When the US government provided Republic of China Sabres the ability to use Sidewinders so they could try and take on the superior PLAAF MiGs during the Taiwan Strait Crisis in the 50s, they were very effective, but in one case, a Sidewinder hit a MiG... and didn't go off. Just punched into the fuselage and got stuck in there like an arrow in a target.
The MiG flew back to base, they pulled the Sidewinder out, it got into the hands of some Soviet missile scientists, and they reverse engineered it and made pretty much an exact copy. If you were one of the US scientists working on the Sidewinder I imagine you'd be pretty pissed tbh, years of development to try and give NATO aircraft a hard edge in missile tech, and the one time it doesn't go off, they nick it, duplicate it, don't even have to do all the research you did to get there, and laugh off into the sunset!
I went on a lovely morning jog today with the lovely lady I'm dating. It was really nice.
We are still in that almost infatuation stage, it seems, but our schedules are not lining up as much as we would like.
As long as its not too bad a misalignment, being forced to not see each other can be a blessing in disguise. It makes the eventual meetup all the more sweet!

It can be

"Beware of Bodhi (Dog, since 2015)"
but I want to figure out a good layout and maybe a small graphic or symbol.

Because the love of flight is the highest of human loves.
Because angle of attack. Umpf.
Because, in the right circumstances, "variable geometry wings" is the sexiest pillowtalk.
