    Clan Engrams
Trials of the Nine and raid clan engrams no longer grant Trials of the Nine or raid weapons
These now grant Crucible and Vanguard rewards
Clan Engrams no longer grant rewards above the player’s level when reaching 340 Power
The Nightfall and Crucible clan engrams will grant rewards up to 340 Power

Seriously fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck off with this guys, this patch was so good until then and you had to shit on it.

Ok the new Eververse exotic sparrows look amazing. Like actually exotic instead of just fancy regular sparrows with bits on.

One looks like what a Sleeper Simulant would be if it was a Sparrow.

Also Sleeper Simulant is in the game, there's an ornament available for it.

Also new exotic emotes are fucking choice.

i honestly would be fine with clans being a more robust friend and organization list and less a gameplay perk

I think giving them a game play niche of "free loot" really helped push them as a thing you'd want, even if you have to build it yourself. In games where PA isn't I know I don't really give a shit about clans where I might have in Destiny 2.

Now they're just a bad friend and organization list. Oh, I guess we get flag things that I don't have any idea what the hell the last one did because it was generally irrelevant.

The usual problem with attaching rewards to clans is fucking over people who don't have clans or don't have very big or active clans.

I can see what they are going for with this change. It makes the rewards from those activities more meaningful since you can't get them just by existing in a clan with someone who does.

A big part of what they are pushing right now is making it feel like you are earning your loot and light level in some fashion rather then it just being dumped on you.

And honestly I can't say that as an overall goal it's not a good idea. I do think one of this game's big problems from the start was that it threw so much at you so quickly that it all became pretty meaningless. (it also didn't help that the stuff was itself very samey)

If it were all loot I'd be more sympathetic to this argument but Raiders/Trialers have their epeens, it's Raid Armor. You get that only be doing the raid, you can't coast on that. Raid weapons at least are just such strong tools I do not like non-raiders getting locked out of Sins of the Past or Midnight Coup.

Why the distinction between the armour and the weapons though? Why is having to raid to get one ok but the other not?

And frankly, I'd say weapons are overall a larger motivation then armour since they actually change your gameplay experience.

I mean, you have the reason right there in your post. Guns are integral and actually have variation in effect. Armor is cosmetic. I'm generally not cool with being better at the game meaning you get better gear to be better at the game when PvP is involved. It creates a win more mechanic and poisons the player base. Cosmetic stuff for being awesome all day long, as I agree, bragging rights are definitely a thing in games.

I don't think you're gonna convince me that there are analogues to the two I mentioned. Maybe with MC but not with Sins. Curtain Call is like water for chocolate.

Though it isn't a coincidence that the weapons I'm mentioning are PvE focused. I don't PvP hard and I definitely don't begrudge those trials players their beautiful armor sets.

Guns can change how you play, so it's nice that for those who may not be able to Raid or Trials due to life or whatever still had a chance at getting some from their Clan.

The armor is more cosmetic and is what other players see, so the players that actually run the activities can show off to others

    This makes me SO HAPPY

I'm bedridden for 2-3 months from a broken clavicle

so I might buy this expansion if the general consensus is 'more good than not'
