Please tell me I never have to fight Kushala again. That was the most unfun experience I've had with a game in a long time. And I play gacha games!
If I ever do fight it again, I think I'm just gonna use flash pods on it until I run out, and then go back to camp and get more until it dies. That strikes me as a more enjoyable experience than actually fighting it.

Have to, no. But yes, flashing it is best, it is drastically more stupid than prior incarnations.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

I did use them! But not, like, literally every single time it took flight. This will be remedied, if there is a next time.
Also, holy shit there should be options to organize your investigations by like, target? Level maybe? Anything other than manual.
Absolutely.
Any sorting would be welcome.
If you go to the non registered tab they are sorted by rank. Generally 9* will be tempered, 8* will be elders, and after that I have no idea how they are determined.

What it seems to be:
6*: Solo hunts from the first two areas.
7*: Solo hunts from the rest, or great hunts involving 6* monsters.
Just what I've kinda gathered from looking though. Barroth: 6*. Azure Rathalos: 7*, etc.

Every time I try and quit dual blades, they keep drawing me back in.
Know what's fun? Going into the special arena, sneaking over to the rocks, slinging a rock to make a noise that draws the monster under the boulders, then SPLAT boulders. That does not get old, and I wish it was easier to repeat those quests.

Finally did the special arena quest for Black Diabolos and was unlucky enough to have one spawn that looks like it would have been big enough to take Jeeves.
In hindsight, using the SOS flare was probably a bad idea. There was nowhere to run from that damn thing. It wasn't trapped in there with us, we were trapped in there with it.
Just be ready with flash pods, save the day, and have everyone look up to you?
Sorry for the late reply.
I guess I just feel like everyone's responsible for their own safety. When I see a big attack like Teo's Supernova about to come out, my first reaction isn't to put away my weapon and flash him; my first reaction's to get the hell out of the way. Maybe with more gameplay experience (this is my first monster hunter), it will become a lot more obvious to me when he's about to take off, so I can have my flash ready to go. But again, I don't feel like that's a markedly better strategy than just ... getting out of the way.
Speaking of flashes: I use a Hammer, and I'm constantly hedgehog-ing off of terrain and mounting monsters. That's something that I really enjoy, actually. Lining up that huge charge attack after a successful mount to down the monster feels so satisfying. Having said that, why the fuck do people constantly flash flying monsters out of my mounts? When I get to land my final charge attack to down the monster from mount, I find that I always have time to begin charging my hammer, over-charge for bonus damage, land a triangle attack, then a side smash, then a full Big Bang combo. But when someone flashes me out of the mount and I don't get those final hits, I can't even get off half of those attacks. It feels like a huge DPS loss. Is there some hidden benefit I'm not seeing? Because it's so frustrating getting knocked out of my mounts and missing out on all the free damage the whole team's about to get from it.

I think it is a reaction that a lot of hunters get into. See a monster fly then immediately flash. I did not realize at first that it would knock a player out of a mount so I did it a few times myself. Also the other players have no way of knowing if you are actually going to get the final mount attack off of not.
Not that long ago I saved up a million zenny to get that achievement and man I burned through it in no time building and upgrading different armor sets. I need more money.
Money seems to be the one thing I am not lacking in this game. Armor Spheres is what I'm always in need of.
Are you doing the Bounties? They hand out Armor Spheres like candy.
Oh yeah, I'm totally doing bounties. I just burn through those spheres faster than I can make them. I also try to group them together so that I can do at least 3 at once, maximizing how many I can turn in at once, while also trying to pair them with what I'm currently farming for.
Maybe I'm over-preparing, but I now refuse to go into major Assigned missions without fully upgrading my current gear. This means tons of hunting to build gear I don't have and upgrade the weapon I need, followed by tons of bounties to upgrade the new/current gear. I currently have 4 normal armor spheres and the armor is not fully upgraded.

While I agree that being insensitive is an issue, so is being oversensitive.

I'd just assume they will and take a moment to sharpen/heal.
beat white winds of the new world, got a little dicey when diablos and rathalos were in the arena, but managed somehow. rainbow dye is pretty neat (I didn't expect it to constantly color shift), but I wish it lingered on each color a bit longer. it practically skips red
wish I had more tempered investigations though, even doing that new event mission and collecting tracks for 15 minutes got me only one new one, for rathian which I already had some for.
I got to the final area, and met uragaan, lavasioth and dodogama.
Yeah, its time to upgrade weapons and armor. I nearly killed uragaan but my dps just wasnt there and it left the locale with the damn blinking skull taunting me. Lavasioth, I barely made a dent in since that ding dong Bazelgeuse decided he want to play. Once they were done, Bazel and I squared off, and I learned that trying to block his explosive belly flop is a bad time.
Dodogama seemed the easiest of the bunch, but by that time it was already late and I had resigned to call it a night and farm up some new toys to face off with them again.
I have the quest to go fight nergigante, but if I cant even kill these guys, I am in no way shape or form, ready for nergs.

Lavasioth- besides gearing up better, bring a water weapon hes pretty vulnerable to them. Cool drinks, fire mantle if you have it.
Also fun tip-
bring torch pods as his armor is molten rock, if he stays out of the lava too long it hardens. BUT if he goes hardened-> You fire the torch-> his armor softens due to heat.
its counter what you would think- "Fire guy = do not attack with fire". But given what its made of, well, Its as if the devs thought of the little things. :}

That triple Tzi-tzi quest is great for farming zenny and HR. Just add stun resistance to your favorite build, which preferably has long sweeping attacks, and aggro all three of them with your bandit mantle and just see how all the drops start to flow.

Awe man @Satsumomo , why bother tho?
The 'triple threat' arena event quest came back up on rotation. 4 player bandit mantle banging on those three idiots until the floor sparkles like a horned up teenage vampire in a bad movie.
maybe tzti has slighty better returns- but you dont even have to regear man. You dont even need the stun resist. bring your bandit mantle and mooching sack. One of these-

I encounter Bazel tracks (2 difficulty) in the mushroom quest.
I also found Rathian, Pukei, Tobi which were 1 difficulty.
In other news, I got my very first Hero stone; it’s for Hammers/Hunting Horns.
I haven’t used one of those weapons yet, which can you recommend?
Requisite the horn is a lot of fun and both similar and wildly not to the hammer and you should try dooting snoots with us HH hunters.
Being able to give your whole team earplugs, completely negate ailments, or completely negate Kush's winds (but for like the center of the dark tornadoes), among other things are all pretty cool. Best damage horn gives attack XL and is blast for beating the snot out of things.

At least it was flying and dropped like a sack of potatoes but otherwise anti-climactic
Generally not unless you think you might start crafting whole new sets of weapons from scratch. Maybe keep your best of each one if worried.
