That's pretty cool. I don't think I ever got to that point to see him as that villain. The last thing I remember about the game is being up in space for some reason.

All I have to say is:

    FRENCH FROGS
    BIG CHERRIES
    PETER PAN
    MAGIC CHEESE
    SEPHIROTH
Isn't French Frog redundant? "Frog" being a derogatory term for a French person. Unless, of course, if you are actually referring to a frog that is French. Then it's fine.

Are you sure you weren't playing FFIV, or FFVIII? "Up in space" can really only describe the Floating Continent, which wasn't quite in space, but it definitely appeared to float over the world map. And that would only have been the half-way point, which is when Kefka does all the really big stuff.

Yeah "balance it" definitely means they're reducing the rewards.
I don't think they will rebalance the amount of supercites you get, just the relics. It sounds like they will reduce the Gil cost and the number of relics you get per completion. Adding another supercite expedition will nearly double the number of relics you can acquire per day since you can run 5 expeditions at a time instead of just 3. I think that is what they mean by "rebalance".
We get another expedition slot? How did I miss that?

Yeah I'm not sure where this is coming from. We've always only had four Expeditions running at one time. I think what it's getting confused as we used to only be able to choose from three expeditions, and now we have the bonus fourth supersite Expedition that we can take. But the number of expeditions we can run at one time has never changed. If anything this will slow down my relics per day because 12-hour b ranks aren't very efficient.

Been out of game for a bit but I've been playing it a bit more this week. Tried Hard Nibel but I don't have the characters that it properly needs? I've got a mystea but I think at only 5 star. So gave up on that after a couple of tries and did the story event up to the 45 energy one. Had 9200 lapis so thought what the hey, I'll do the first step up.

Okay, sephiroth alone was worth it but I got also a second rasler. Not sure on ozetta and mim but I'll survive!

Not as empty a week as previously thought. FFBE raid, raid summon is the player designed units plus a new unit, Ukiyo. Re-run of the Cloud FF7 Mog King event. And a re-run of the Cloud banner with a step up banner. So anyone who really wants TDH meta and has the Lapis can guarantee a Cloud or Elfreeda with 5 multi summons. 3* Shiva and Ramuh and a new story chapter. Both Demon Chimera and Brachiosaur are back.

Only thing missing are my Reberta enhancements. Where my Reberta enhancements, damn it?

Yes, well, I still need TDH gear, so well played Gumi. Well played.

[edit] Also, some nice gear this week. That Mag throwing weapon is just short of Nue-level. I think there were rainbow units with Nue as BiS. We have an okay-ish staff, and that hat brings me one step closer to making the chamber of experience a realistic alternative to cactuar dunes (even though I have a gazillion king cactuars right now).

Comparing the Kimono Vest and Ukiyo's TMR made me realize just how good Great Mage's Robe (reward for the Kefka Trial) was for its time. It's been a year and the event rewards still haven't caught up.

[edit] And it sucks that I don't have it.

I’m torn. I have two clouds, but zero elfreedas and zero exaileens. TDH feels like the future, but these units will remain in the pool and with second anniversary just around the corner... gah!

I also dropped a ton of resources on this banner the first time, with nothing but Conrads and Williams to show for it. Fool me twice etc. etc.

Though it does make me want to run the Lid event today and tomorrow to be able to grind the next MK without interruption. I guess Phoenix will have to wait a bit longer

On the one hand I have both a Cloud and an Elf that I havent bothered to TMR. On the other I could have a 7* Cloud or two Marshall Gloves.

Sad that the new unit is a Raid Summon, shell end up useless :(

Also that Raid staff is totally a Lila Staff for someone who doesnt have any Yunas. 64 nonelemental SPR? Hell yes.

It's kind of weird to re-run a MK event. I'm really curious if the MK store will reset or not - more summon tickets are a good thing, but I might grind out 1 Purecryst. I'm set for bonus units without having to pull: Elfreeda, William x2, and Conrad x2. Very tempting to try to get Cloud or another Elfreeda, but gonna be a pass for me. Saving resources for 2nd anniversary and CG units. So, new story content, demon trials, raid, and 3* espers should keep us busy. I still need to kill Alhena... maybe next week. Grinding the 90 NRG story event for giancrysts is working out well with only 1 Xon (Pod 153 & Great Raven's Cape).

I was saving up for Hyou or whatever. The 7* meta. It's just... Those units need TDH for them to shine, so why even bother hoarding for them if I don't have TDH?

I'm at 76k right now, so I'm okay with doing 1 run through the Cloud banner.

I could use one more Elfreeda for 4 but the return on investment for that is pretty low. If I ever really wanted 2 TDH equipped units I'm sure I could make do, and don't really need her STMR either. I don't think Mog reset on JP reruns but nice surprise for some tickets if it does I guess.

Lot of stuff to do even disregarding the re-run. 2 espers, 2 trials. None of them super hard but content at least. Then the raid & story. I'll take it.

I'm a bit torn on this one. On one hand, I already have 2 Elfreedas, on the other, I need Cloud to finish the TDH set. If I push, I could have 25k well before the end of the banner, but I'm not sure if its worth it.

A small thing I noticed in the raid - another piece of equipment that boosts EXP gain. A small nice thing if you're like me and take unleveled units to raids if you're out of cactaurs.

Raid gear does look nice to gear my Lilas. Hope we can make multiples.

G'd, we've been in some busy times lately lol. I think it was three weeks after I started that I saw my first MK and Raid events, and we havent had a break from them since! Well, one week off from Raids but geeze. It's great, but its also draining. Feels slightly more beneficial for newer players, but are you vets enjoying it too?

I will prolly fall into the Step Up trap. I have no Cloud/Elf and that definitely feels like the future. Not that I don't already have too many ppl to level. Was hoping to farm lvl 90 story event for giancryts but honestly I might be lucky to get everything done in time before we get new MK and Raid events. I still need 5 tech giancrysts and some heavy to finish Magicial Activation enh2 for TTerra. Anything after that would just be to shore resources for later projects.

Haven't had time for regular trials or the 10 man yets either, altho i've been using the enhancement bonus period and the rain of cactuars to level a lot of 3/4* ppl that supposedly help with those (like Shantoto, Cecil, etc) as well as some recent lucky pulls (got Ace and Luneth, among others).

Technically the only thing I should really be pulling for now would be CG Nichol or a decent 5* tank.

I have two Cloud and no Elfreeda, but I did pick up ExAileen. If I don't pick up an Elfreeda before UoC tickets come up I can always go that route.

For the upcoming Raid, Excalibur was one of the individual rewards when in ran in JP. I'll be happy to have a second one.

  • HalfmexHalfmex I mock your value system You also appear foolish in the eyes of othersRegistered User regular
Thankfully I'm all set with regard to TDH (2x Cloud & 2x Elf), even on JP right now there's not a need for multiple TDH users in one party so this banner's an easy pass. That said, it's nice that they're doing a step-up for it this go around, so those who still need those units have a much better shot at it than we did the first time through. Hopefully the MK shop does reset but if not I won't be too disappointed. Having an MK event and raid running simultaneously right after an MK event is going to be pretty draining. The raid units (outside of the new one at least) are pretty meh-tier so if the raid pulls don't have 4* tickets or all-trust moogles I'll happily just stop after farming the rewards.

Glad to see they're finally pushing more content through the pipeline either way.

  • CruorCruor Registered User regular
It would be a weird step back not to have 4* tickets and Moogles in the raid Gacha, since every new raid for awhile now has had them. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't in the pool (this is Gumi after all), but I would be pretty unhappy.

Reddit is claiming that the MK will NOT reset. If you look in the fine text of announcement it actually says it will not be reset but you can re-use currency if you kept any 1/35th scale soldiers.
