Im sick of depressing failure threads. How about a success thread too
What have you achieved and gained of late SE? I for one signed my first publishing deal last week. Ill maybe see if I can hit some of it up in the writers corner but otherwise its a cool 49p per book sold going right into my account. As a student that is a fuckload. I hope it does well.

No, but seriously. I got a raise starting yesterday. Two bucks more an hour to throw into whores and WoW.
I cant really say. Part of the deal was like some pseudo NDA where until it is in print I cant post parts of it. I really wanna just lay out a chunk of the first chapter in the writers block forum you know for posterities sake.
regardless, its nothing huge. just a quirky kind of tim burton-esque murder mystery. took me like since the start of this year (academic) to write.
