Also white having one mass LD card, in Dominaria, and it being the only one they've gotten in I think 12 years, is not a very good example. It is a recent example, yes, but it's a callback to when white used to do that. That's a red thing, now, and very occasionally green if it's for nonbasics.
I think it’s just because mass land removal is not a fun mechanic to play against.
I'd absolutely buy that as the reason we've gotten so little of it in the past few years. We've actually just gotten a lot worse land destruction, in general, since about 2010, and I'm fine with that direction.
Of note, fall of Thran isn’t as backbreaking of a stall because it resets everyone to 4 lands.

I’m not familiar with him, but apparently his behavior while drinking has become pretty well known for a while, particularly among female grinders. Good for SCG for dumping him, though it sounds like it should have happened sooner.
Jace moves up two places when on Ravnica. Also it's super close between him and Teferi; they could easily be reversed (but Living Guildpact Jace is still less cop than Ajani).

Teferi's a bit of a wildcard and it probably depends like, how bad the shit you're doing is. If it's 6 or below, he's cool, but anything above I bet he'd be super cop.

Accidentally ordered just 2 of the unblockable merfolk for mono-blue tempo. What do y'all figure for replacements from what I got - 2 Artificer's Assistant (just for flying as a "soft" unblockable, and a microscopic upside if i side in the diamond mares for aggro), or just 2 Opt for cycle, even though it's going down on creatures
You could put in two silvergill adepts or two of the unblockable mermaid that gets +1/+1 when a merfolk comes into play. I think those would be better than opts, at least

Gotta say the special formats in Arena right now seem amusing. Haven't played any of Day9's "Insta-Ban" (60-card decks, no instants or spells with flash allowed), but scored a nice 7-1 in Gaby's "Greedy Draft" (3x Dominaria; you can play 2 lands a turn and have a max/starting hand size of 9) thanks to my first-pick On Serra's Wings showing up on my first-turn 2-drop an alarming number of times.
Went to an FNM that didn't fire for Standard, but met some cool guys who let me borrow their Zacama deck to run. Managed to get an early Nissa ult off, then with 11 lands out and everybody 100% tapped out, go Mirarai's Wake into Zacama with three mana floating, equip him with the card that doubles activations, kill a Thrumming Stone and a kill creature rock, play another mana doubler, flip an Etali from under a land and play Seedborn Muse. So I had 33-ish mana available every turn to double Zacama activations.
