I know this is a superhero movie but couldn't they have made the plot a wee bit believable? Like the one meteor with alien life on it miraculously lands next to Peter Parker. Thats some coincidence.

There was a suggestion else where that maybe the symbiote could have moved from person to person till it found a suitable host.
I think this would have been fairly easy to implement if it was kept simple. I'm talking a scene less then 5 minutes long showing it jumping from person to person till it lands on Peter.
Still coincidental? Yes, but not as much.

That was the only thing I didn't like about Venom
What, exactly, was the point of having it hide out in Peter's room for days before attaching?

they solved that origin problem pretty conveniently and I applaud them for it
"Eddie's been on him for weeks and he can barely get a glimpse of him"
keep on rockin' in the free world, brother-man
Venom's origin?
It's not even that different though.
At least in the cartoon it wasn't so damn coincidental.
with all the shit they tried to cram in you want 30 minutes dedicated to the whole space shuttle thing
I think not
It's a comic book movie
Just about every comic book character ever is the result of a fuckhuge coincidence
I understand and agree, but why are you saying the cartoon origin is bullshit?
I would think the original comic origin is the worst of them.
Ultimate's origin is pretty bad too. Cancer cure? What the fuck?
I wasn't bitching, shit lick.
I was comparing two different origins and saying one was more coincidental than the other, which it was.
Did I say "Lurker, Bitching about "WOW WHAT A HUGE COINCIDENCE" is pretty dumb""
No, go eat a dick
Well, it's kind of a HUGE COINCIDENCE that you posted that soon after my post in which I called the symbiote's origin in the movie a coincidence.
You just reminded me

Raimi has expressed dislike of the character in the past.
Holy shit was it boring, except for evil peter.
Evil peter was constant laughter. Even when he was beating the shit out of harry
hahahahahahaha
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
but don't worry, if they get some hack to take over they can bring carnage in however they want to
whoops a sample of your blood got combined with a weird virus whoops
Why?
Even if he is a big ol' turd, it's not like Raimi didn't make changes to the character.
Besides some key points he was barely anything like the comic book version.
except maybe what was it, cosmic spiderman? whatever
in any event, emo ftw
and he goes 'VENOM IS MY FAVORITE COMIC CHARACTER YOU DO NOT FUCK WITH HIM';
Why?
survival of the fittest motherfucker
maybe i'm some kind of elitist nerd jerk, but it pisses me off when people who don't know shit about comics talk about comics
also, courtesy of digg, google "she invented" for some good times
and i'm all, no because that didn't happen
and they're all DUDE I HAVE TEN COPIES OF IT AT MY GRANDMA'S HOUSE YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT COMIX
