Danny's joke at the end of today's episode was so fucking stupid but I died laughing, he delivered it so smoothly.

They've recorded up through Chapter 1, are loving it, and are going to try their hardest to complete it. It's just going to take a while, since... y'know, long game.

I have no idea what kind of game Danganropa is even supposed to be? Is it one of those story driven novel games or something? I'm not sure if I'll make it very far in it. I know I'm in the minority but I can't deal with Arin's jock voice that he uses for these kinds of games.

I did enjoy him playing Dead by Daylight though.

I haven't played Donganronpa, but I've seen it referenced a bit, so anyone can feel free to correct me. Spoilers just in case
From what I understand it's a mystery game. Characters will start getting murdered, and then it becomes almost like Phoenix Wright. You investigate and find out who did it and then there's a trial where they can be exposed. I didn't know it had these visual novel-esque segments, though.

So it should get more interesting as they progress more in the story.

I do agree that Arin's voice he uses for every anime style protagonist is annoying. Doesn't help that when he does it he speaks just a little slower to drag it out. The stereotypical italian voice he's doing for a character is also starting to get on my nerves, but that's clearly a joke Arin is doing for Arin, so he'll run that one into the ground.

But, I can tolerate that stuff since it's been a pretty good series so far. They're enjoying the game, which I always consider a plus and the wackiness of it all is generating some good content.

The Among Us videos were fun though. It killed me that Arin didn't even try to argue with someone who said "I walked in and you were there and when I left he died". He was just like "you got me" lol. At least try to spin it on him.

Ah well. Dan chuckling like a madman was great.

That was my exact reaction to getting caught red handed as the Imposter on my first try at it. It's surprisingly hard to just start lying out of nowhere, I found out.

Yeah I've been there too. Especially when you're caught off guard. But the events that the other guy laid out could have made him completely sus as well. But Arin admitted he doesn't like being the imposter.

I found out I am a bit too good at lying with a level head.

Like once I killed someone right outside of the airlock and it was closed two people walked up seconds later right behind me. I panicked and self reported. Somehow played it off perfectly and no one felt comfortable enough voting someone off since it could have been anyone who was in the airlock. Obviously stuck out as a memory because I couldn’t believe I pulled that off. The guy I killed even commented on how he was going nuts about how I got away with it

I don't mind Arin's anime protagonist voice. It's a good voice to portray a bland boring useless loser and that's what all the anime protagonists are in the games they play.

Daganropa ABSOLUTELY manipulates you with those first two kills by forcing you to hang out and bond or by coarrling you so you are likely to hang out with the other.

    It’s SUPER blatant in retrospect

Okay if they're going to actually put effort into completing it, good. Usually by now people are hooked but because the show is what it is, they're not getting attached at the same pace as most people who play do. Plus there's Arin's constant cynical comments about game design / writing to pull them out of things so they don't pay attention quite as well. Like he's not wrong about the writing repeating things a lot but at the same time give the shtick a rest!

Yeah I'm not saying that the voice isn't effective but rather that it physically hurts me to listen to (hyperacutia/tinnitus) and it makes it unwatchable. The man has a great talent with his voices and I would love for him to use something else.

Just finished the Hollow Knight play through and that was kind of a bore. I think a lot of the magic is gone for me thanks to the Backstreet Boys Reunion tour. It doesn't feel the same when they are on Discord.

Hopefully them playing games in the same room will bring back some of the energy.

Yeah the first case is super straightfoward without the game literally spelling it out for you up front, it would have been a lot more interesting initial case without it.

As someone who hasn't played it before...
It's actually Leon? The answer is so obvious I thought they would've gone with "The victim writing the killer's name in blood as they die never actually happens" twist from ace attorney 2-1.

Yea, it is Leon. I wont go into detail that the clues they found reveal but it is a super easy first case. I've heard people mention that the first case is crazy easy for players who speak English but I don't know if that clue is any different for players in other languages. If I remember right there is a interesting twist to this case as well.

I was genuinely worried neither of them would notice the clue in the shower and I was so frustrated that it took the entire episode for them to notice the door sign clue after talking to Leon twice and him mentioning it.

The details about the first case (which is also something I remember pretty clearly for whatever reason)
The information you get that has NOTHING TO DO with the fact that Leon is written upside down point to Leon.

He uses the hair roller to clean up the hair because he has long, red hair and nobody else there has red hair.
The evidence is thrown into the trash compactor/incinterator/disposal with such accuracy that it HAD to be someone talented to do it, since they only got one shot

That's before you get in to the weeds about him damning himself by saying that the bathroom had a lock on it because it was a girls bathroom or how he used his own screwdriver to undo the knob\

The LEON/11037 bit is just fucking too much

Until it isn't. I think in case two or three there's a bit where the paneling is extremely vague so it requires some guesswork.

I don't remember but are the later cases any harder? I honestly don't remember ever having trouble with the cases and I'm not some kind of genius but they kind of make it so you can't really fail. Can't even move onto the trial until every piece of evidence is gathered so there is no possibility of missing a vital piece of evidence.

There's one case that I called being a twist pretty early on, because of the nature of the twist.

And there is definitely more that you have to do to figure shit out in later cases, but it's never hard
