The Romio's at 627 Howell and the Thai place next to it are apparently closed. I think the Romio's is now at 1011 Pike Street.

What are some good coffee places within walking distance besides Ladros (already know about them)? Any other roasters relatively close, perhaps via transit?

I marked Romio's. I don't think we ever had the Thai place next to it.

If you don't mind going up a little hill on Pike, there's Victrola Coffee at 310 E Pike St. Also, there's a Starbucks Roastery on Pike, which, yes, Starbucks but they have a Princi bakery inside and you can taste different coffees and cold brews and cocktails (with or without coffee).

There's other places like Stumptown, but at about a mile out it might be pushing "walking distance."

No love for Din Tai Fung in Pacific Place? I know the dumplings are a little overpriced for what you get (especially if you're pescatarian), but they do have quite a few tasty options (provided you can navigate Chinese menus)

Added. I hadn't thought of it since I'm usually hitting the Bellevue or U-District locations. And there's another in Southcenter.
