My favorite Chameleos bug is still the one that Toast found where copied DK Anduin somehow had 6 attack, so you killed yourself when playing it.
Has anyone checked to see if the other DKs have attack and health?
Friend of mine was wondering if Blizzard used some of the code from Jaraxxus which would explain the attack and health bug.
The reason it had 6 attack was because it previously copied a worgen with 6 health. When the turn started, the worgen's attack and health swapped and Chameleos changed into Anduin but retained the 6 attack from the worgen state. Why Anduin would destroy a hero with 5+ attack isn't entirely clear to me. I wonder if there's some way to give an enemy hero an attack value on the turn you play Anduin?
My assumption about the game mechanics would be this.
Card types aren't unique, just checkboxes. In most game situations there's only checkbox ticked; it's a minion or a spell or a weapon, etc. This was a bugged case where the card was flagged as both a minion and a hero card because the Chameleos start of turn trigger occurred before the worgen start of turn trigger.
It still sort of thinks it's a minion, kinda. We can see from the voodoo doll tests that things "in play" are based on a unique card ID that retain identities. So chameleosed anduin probably acts similarly. Chameleos enters play, anduin scans the gamestate looking for cards with "is_minion() && attack() >= 5" to destroy and happens to find its own card in that list
It seems possible that a chameleos -> voodoo -> bounce to hand -> play as a hero -> kill voodoo might also kill your hero
The interaction with the worgen was probably required because normally chameleos would overwrite the new card's state onto itself, however worgen cards likely have queued events to swap values on turn boundaries and so this interacts poorly
Since the hero cards don't have an attack value (or health!) - but potentially could as we see with Jaraxxus - it likely swapped 6 into the cleared attack value and 0 into health - which doesn't matter - and so you have 6 attack temporarily
I have almost 7000 dust, with more if I want, and I still have no clue what to crafffffft.
Voodoo Doll seems like it could be fun. Maybe try out Mossy Horror. Baku, Azalina, Godfrey, Face Collector...I don't know!
I guess the meta hasn't really shaken out quite yet.
is there some azalina deck that exists?
I cracked one and I have no idea how to play a 7mana 3/3. I thought maybe zoo, cause you run out of cards quickly, but it didn't help.
No she's trash
Thijs was playing a Rogue deck with her today. I don't think he did all the well with it, but it was a neat concept of beating the opponent with their own cards, knowing what they have in hand, and playing around that.
Hmm, what happens if you handbuff Jaraxxus? Do you retain the buffs in hero form?
You do not, Hero Jaraxxus' weapon and health are hard-set
This does make sense and also fits with both sacrificial pact (you are Jaraxxus the card who is a demon) and having a hidden backing card "in play" that can have effects operate on it
Now I really want to know what happens if someone handbuffs Jaraxxus the card to 5 attack and plays it and then the opponent anduins
I also want to know what happens if you get jaraxxus out normally, voodoo him, bounce him, become the hero and kill the voodoo (though I suspect it's the same as chameleos)
i dunno, the sap interaction actually feels correct. the battlecry doesn't strictly imply that you can only select one minion, just that each battlecry lets you select one :so_raven:
Watching streamers tech is hilarious. Kolento was playing triple weapon destruction in his Control Priest earlier and Dog's opening 2 cards for the Control Mage he just built was 2 Oozes.

They kinda have to, anyone above like 500 Legend is facing mostly Cubelocks.
It's cool though, Blizzard said it's a high skill deck with not the highest winrate ever so it doesn't really need looking at :rotate:

I can't win a game to save my life. Played Control Warrior, played against broken Shaman. Played Hunter, immediately against paladins. Play Cubelock, played against hyper aggro.
Gave up and finally started to craft Cubelock. I didn't have enough for Skull or Rin though, so after two games I pulled the Doomguards for Dreadlords. Seems ok so far, but I can definitely tell the lack of "closing ability", especially off of a board res.

I would straight up not play Cube without Skull. You could try a pure Control list but I don't know that it will be able to handle Spiteful lists, although Doll is a big help there.
Yeah they do, but hearthstone isn't known for its precise wording or mechanics. I was pleasantly surprised when the interaction happened the way it should.

cubelock being the highest winrate deck and the best version of cubelock containing 0 witchwood cards makes me feel a certain kind of way

Well, I had to pick between making one of three cards I was missing: Skull, Guldan, or Rin. Made Guldan. Honestly it's been ok, couple of sub-par cards so far. Tar Creeper and that "discover a demon" are both feeling pretty useless so far. Whirlwind Yeti is actually really good right now. Just annihilates all the dude decks.

You could just play Zoolock. The dust cost for good zoolock decks is pretty reasonable, they're still pretty good, and you don't have to feel like a sell-out when you play it.

I think the biggest problem with the deck is that almost nothing has changed for it with the rotation.
Like ok yeah, oppressive warlock deck emerges after KnC and it’s strong and popular for a few months. That happens, it’s expected.
Now the standard rotation comes along, supposed to have a bigger impact on the metagame than any other event in the Hearthstone year.
The two most popular decks are... cube warlock and aggro paladin.
Just ginned up a Shaman deck using Far Sight and a bunch of all the echo cards and goldfished against the normal Priest to see what happens. Far Sight unfortunately only makes the first copy of an echo minion you play cost zero. Far Sight continues to suck :P

Sadly, they patched out various exceptions:
Patch 9.2.0.21517 (2017-10-17): [Jaraxxus] No longer triggers Repentance, Sacred Trial, and Snipe.

I mean, that just sounds like economic use of your doll.

Yeah I think that deck is just odd hunter but better
I’m gonna maybe say Baku is a safe craft now? I feel like there are a bunch of decks using him.

yeah that's not the matchups you're putting mindbreaker in for, it's pretty exclusively for the hunter and paladin matchups
whether it's good enough to still be in decks a week from now we've yet to see imo
