This war of mine looks like it hits too close to the realities of war for me to ever play it, even if I can acknowledge the craft, artistry, and intent.

Similarly, the developers of Verdun toured (and modeled the game after) the actual battlefield. They also worked with the crew from The Great War YT channel.

Gearbox did a lot of that with their Brothers in Arms games.

They need to get back on that.

AER and Subterrain on that bundle looked interesting enough so I'm happy with that one. I'm torn about the next one. I probably will get it but I've already got Ruiner and I still haven't even given Dead Rising 3 a fair shake.

For all you KSP experts out there, would it be a fun one for my 5 and 7yo to play or is it too complex?

Also, for any people interested in Muslim representation in games, I just watched this GDC talk and thought it was really good and worthwhile to check out: A How-To Guide for Muslim Representation in Video Games

HOLY SHIT I FINALLY GET KSP FOR A PITTANCE!

"Lara Croft plays through Monument Valley" could be fun. Is it playable on PC, or is it a phone (Android/iOS) code?

KSP is pretty complex for an adult. Far too much for a 5-7 yr old imo. You really have to pay attention to a lot of math details. You can just mess around but you won’t be terribly successful. It is fun to build giant crazy rockets for a little while though until you realize they just don’t work well.

Did your task also include getting back from the Mun? Because if not, that task just got way easier.

That monthly is worth getting just for Deus Ex IMO, that game is awesome.

I spent about 6 hours with Kerbel, following tutorial videos, and still couldn't figure it out. You gotta be really into math and engineering to get it I think. Or I'm just kinda dumb. Both things are probably true.

Xenoverse 2 seems to have a ridiculous amount of content, but I just beat the main campaign and I'm not sure I want to go on and do the other stuff since the optimal gameplay strategy seems to be hitting people until they get knocked back and then kamehamehaing them, and that hasn't changed at all since I got kamehameha

You can leave Big Picture Mode in the settings mebu on the top right, and you'll be greeted with your normal desktop and you can stream whatever other programs your PC is running.

I use my Steam Link almost exclusively to stream movies and music from the war machine in my bedroom to a screen in the living room, I don't think I have ever actually used it for playing a game.

I also hope that we will eventually get them anyway, but jumping to 5 may prove otherwise. It would be a shame though, because I heard a lot of good things about 4.

They had Outlast 2 on sale on Humble last night, with the sale ending just before this month's bundle dropped. I bought it on sale, and then hours later got another copy of the game dumped into my library. I emailed Humble asking for a refund, hoping that they can just remove the extra bundle key from my account and refund me my purchase.

Took five days but my Twitch emoticons went live today. Pretty stoked about that. I was exceptionally salty today when trying to play Friday the 13th the Game though. I only made it an hour then had to switch games. So many cheaters & exploiters right now... the community is really bad. Has soured me almost entirely on that game, which already seems to have a perpetually dwindling playerbase. Shame because the actual game itself is pretty fun but it's not worth playing anymore unless you have a premade group. I wouldn't try to convince someone it's worth the $40 price tag. Dead By Daylight is half the price, five-times the population & very little of the toxicity, mostly because there's no voice chat & the end-of-game text chat you can have hidden. Night and day difference in communities there.

I don't think I'll stream F13 multiplayer again unless I have a premade group. Maybe the single player things when those come out but I can't deal with the public lobbies anymore. Quick match is over for me.

Haven't heard anything about the Alpha for Survived By again since signing up for it.

    ...I'm rambling.

Hope everyone is doing well & has a good weekend! Big wrestling weekend for pro-wrestling fans, so I'm excited for that. :)

I am somewhat disappointed this was not an Escrima/Arnis/other Filipino Martial Art inspired video game.

Really happy with the April bundle. The only game I'm not really interested in is Laser League. Next month is fantastic - the missus wants Dead Rising 4, and I've had my eye on Ruiner for a long time.

I said it before, but Humble Monthly, and bundles in general, are like winning the lottery when you go from console gaming to PC gaming.

I'ma disagree with the consensus on Kerbal. Mostly because my little cousins who are about that age now still beg to play it every visit since teaching them the basics a couple years ago. Unlike adults they don't give a shit if they ever leave the atmosphere, kids know disastrous explosions is where the real fun is at. Hell, they deliberately leave the parachutes off just to ensure catastrophe.

Also, you don't need to understand math to get kerbal. I don't know any of the math involved and have pretty successfully explored the solar system. Understanding the math will make the design phase of your rockets shorter (as you will know exactly how much dV you need to reach a given celestial body and get back so you can skip the trial-and-error phase), but it is by no means required.

Some youtube videos on orbital mechanics in KSP are probably a good idea though. Nothing advanced, just a "hello gravity, this is me" type video about how to use the navball and where you want your engines pointing is enough.
