I think the determination was that there were parts that were looped. And the difference is that the Hearthstone stream was just, you know, a fireplace and Jeff sitting there, as is traditional. The Bethesda stream seems to be "we're promising you SOMETHING but aren't gonna tell you WHEN, STAY TUNED SHEEP."
And it's got 4 seconds of footage CENSORED on Steam (and the console versions).
I'm boycotting.
They didn't censor gore, sex, gory sex, children's heads exploding and drug use, what the fuck is in that four seconds to cause a panic?
The funny part is whatever it is was apparently so offensive that they said it can't be in the game or they couldn't sell it. Yes, even with everything else that's already in the game.
But they're gonna release it on youtube later so you can see what it was :rotate:
Keys still haven't gone out to backers, but Dan apparently has it already and just started streaming if you're curious about it.
Spoiler'd just in case Twitch screencaps anything untoward.
Is Active Shooter still up? Even if it isn't, fuck Valve anyway.
To be fair, it wasn't Valve that told them no (afaik). They cut those few seconds to get PEGI approval. They had planned to release that extra little bit as an adult patch for the PC version but they claim there's some legal issue now preventing them from doing so.

I haven't really been keeping tabs on Active Shooter, is it significantly worse than No Russian?
Probably, because as exploitative and nonsensical No Russian was, that game at least acknowledged that it can to seen as offensive and lets you skip it.

It's also one of those games where I'm like yeah, how about we start using that Adults Only rating at the very least, and tbh, I'm more okay with hardcore tentacle pr0n VNs on Steam than games where you shoot up kids in a school

No doubt, but mostly commenting on how self-aware the games are, respectively. Probably. Wouldn't put it over the Active Shooter people from doing the "it's just satire bro" defense.
Decided to check out Moonlighter given how much I loved Recettear.
There's been some reports of bugginess but I've dodged that so far in my first two hours.
Initial impressions are that it does more with the dungeon crawling side of things but less with the shop side and without the level of charm Recettear had. The dungeon running features much more prominently as you can't just easily buy up goods at wholesale to resell at a profit from the beginning and have to loot the ruins for goods. You also unlock shops and crafters to help supply your dungeon runs instead of drilling down hard on just your own store and the dungeon.
This is still early going though. And discovering I could sell entire stacks of items instead of just one at a time made a huge difference. Capitalism Ho!

SEGA is thrilled to announce that we’ve updated the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classics on Steam. This update brings a raft of new features, including online multiplayer, so you can slug your way through Streets of Rage with a friend online.
We’ve also added VR support. You can now immerse yourself in your early 90’s retro-themed bedroom and play on a virtual CRTV or go big with full screen.
The full list of upgrades includes the following:
• Two-player online multiplayer
• Leaderboards
• Challenge Modes – short challenges give old favourites a new twist
• Additional graphics filters & border options
• ROMs from other regions for games with significant differences
• Fast-forward and rewind
• Sprite limit disable
• Mirror mode – reverse the screen for a fresh challenge
• VR support
• Mac and Linux support
This update comes free to current owners of any SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classic title on Steam.
We’ve also given the complete collection a new low price of $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99. There’s never been a better time to jump in! If you’ve already purchased some but not all of the titles on Steam, we’ve dropped the price of the individual games, too, so snap up the rest and complete your collection.
Check out our launch trailer from Eclectic Method!
So aside from the first round of gifts I got yesterday. I did want to thank those who sent still more throughout the day.
@Pixelated Pixie earns a special mention for gifting Frostpunk right after I posted yesterday. And then sent JYDGE later that morning. @Big Classy flung Sumoman at me next. And a copy of Ni no Kuni II in the afternoon. Thank you! @Stabbity Style attacked with a gift of Lost Grimoires. Thanks! (and a code for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided!) @ReverseCreations fired a copy of Sine Mora EX. Thank you. @Corsini, last but not least, sent a PA PM with a code for Blades of the Shogun attached. Thanks!
And thanks to everyone that threw in the birthday wishes yesterday. They were much appreciated.

Went 8-2 in Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo with Chun-Li today. Mostly against Ken and Guile. One guy played me 4 times before getting a win. Didn’t offer a rematch after his win. LOL scrub.

Can we mix sonic and knuckles with 2 and 3?
Sonic 3 comes as Sonic 3 & Knuckles, so it already is. No for Sonic 2, however.

Do you like Zachtronics games? I can't blame you if you don't as they typically end up feeling like homework (which I enjoyed at the time because I'm a giant nerd). If you do, though, Prime Mover by 4Bit Games may be up your alley. I'm already stuck because I never did any circuit design, but it's the good kind of stuck where I want and need to be smarter.
Enjoy! Or don't - whatever - I'm not your mom.
Spoilered image, in case you want to see what my (surely not as efficient as it could be) solution to one of the puzzles looks like to see if it might be for you.

Hey today was a good day. I had a job interview that I felt went well (we'll see by the end of the week) and I just realized I won Civ VI! Thanks @Yoshua !

Since you like this, did you play either Human Resource Machine or Infinifactory? If not, I highly recommend both.

I have no problem admitting that that vault is one of my favorite vaults in all of the nu-Fallouts.
I've never played Fallout or Fallout 2, and god knows I'd probably hate them at this point, but I have them on hand should I ever want to try them.

Pretty sure Papa Jeff was actually in that chair for that entire stream.
Edit - Nah, it's definitely looped. Just really well, lol.

Gross.
Fantasy Grounds is basically Roll20 but for Steam, and if you want any D&D modules you have to pay almost the same price as a physical book :rotate:

Just throwing that out there.

If you think that's bad, there's DLC that costs as much as a new car, let alone a cheap house

..don't think that really answers your question though. I think I just gave a weird random factoid.

I believe Arma was the MMO they were gonna make until they decided just go make a battle royale game that included crafting and hats.
Yeah, that's the only reason I know what it is, and I never even played day z or the mod.
