Hatched my Tauros this morning for 151. I must say I was not very happy with this event. Being unable to spin stops for almost a whole day so I didn't get eggs because I had already opened 20 gifts was a bit of a pain. Should be able to bin eggs.

My first batch of 9 alolan eggs were all garbage (I think there was one Farfetch'd in there which is like, ok, I like it and all but it's not a *new* Pokemon for me thanks to that one event they did awhile back). Second batch had both a Mr. Mime and a Kangaskhan in it, so I am now officially at 151 for Kanto Pokemon The Mr. Mime was even 98% IVs which is pretty sweet.
Also managed to get a 96% Articuno (with 15 attack) a little before that so a pretty lucky afternoon overall

Problem with binning eggs is that people then spend all day chasing after 10km mon.
Make it a replace function then, eggs opened from gifts replace existing eggs. Obviously would need to have some sort of toggle since not everyone wants 7km eggs.

I had someone knock me out of a gym at 1210am, giving me 20 coins. But I have a Gyarados sitting in a gym for 18 hours, so if that gets knocked out any time today, I'll just get 30 coins for holding for almost 24 hours. Luckily the spot it's in sometimes holds for 2-5 days...

So stoked. When this game launched 2 years ago, the Pokemon I wanted most was Mr Mime, and finally today was the day! And with him that's the 151 as well. Quite a day

I got another shot at a 2* raid today, but it was Electabuzz and I have almost nothing with any ground attacks so I wasn't able to take it out quickly enough.
I did hatch Tauros from my first 1st gen 'alola' egg though, so that's something.

Oh, in case you hadn't heard -- gyms that give EX passes will now be marked! It's small text at the upper right. But hopefully your local Go groups will give people the heads up where the gyms are.
Celebi get! It took 5 days to find enough stupid grass/psychic to finish. I have a new puppy that is not fully vaccinated though, so that was without going on normal walks.
Finally have a decent phone to play this game. I have no idea what I'm doing, but there's four pokestops/gyms on my way to and from work, which is nice. I was under the impression that these pokestops could be hit up only once a day, but it seems like I hit a few of them twice within a fifteen minute period.
Also, I got an Ice Vulpix from an egg... I am confused. i thought it was a shiny, but shinies don't chance type.
(note: I haven't gotten into the Pokemon series since X/Y, an even then, the games I played the shit of were Silver and Ruby)

Ice type Vulpix is the Alolan sub-species, from the Sun & Moon games. There are other Alola mutants available, but they’re kinda rare. Some come from 7km eggs but the rest are raid only right now.
