Is it just me, or did some of the colors change with this recent(ish) patch. Notably, pidgeys are greener and blissy's pouch went from white to light pink?
In our household my newer Android did change, but the Apple phone and the older Android didn't.
It's been a while since i've played the game, now that i am starting to travel more again i have installed it.
A lot have changed since the last year definitely, are people still bumping into eachother on the streets or is that an old problem? lol

They changed how lighting works in the game engine.
Oh, hey. I just started playing this again. Changed a lot in two years! Still pretty rough in a rural area (especially one that's drowning in smoke right now) but I'm digging it. There's a stop and gym at the place I eat lunch though, somehow, so that's nice. I can hit a few stops a day if I'm not going out of my way, but there's not much out here.

I feel like an idiot because while worryin about not having any incubators left for the eggs I had from today, I realized I spent 30 bucks this month on Pokecoins.
The funny part is that I haven't needed Aloan Eggs for WEEKS now, but it was the only thing keeping me inside of the gift giving system.
I think it's kinda fucked up actually that these follow the same system as regular eggs.

Randomly found a shiny Natu today. Yay Also finally hit level 37 last night, so getting up there. Been playing a lot lately so I've been earning experience like crazy.

Yep. Got a shiny Sunkurn today too. Snubbull and Pineco are also relatively new shinies... since the "evolve Sunkurn or Natu 3 times" quest gets you a Pineco, I'd grind that one as much as possible if you want a shiny.

I've got to get to some different spinners, I think the last 10 missions I've got over the last few days are to catch 3 Sunkern with the reward being one of the candies for alternate evolutions so I've started just throwing those missions away. I haven't just been hitting the same spinner on the same day, but there is no variety in my area.
What I'd highly recommend, if you haven't done it already, is find the local discord group(s) for your area. The park that I've been going to all week to hatch my eggs/walk my eevee has 20 pokestops that give nothing but the basic Johto quests. So I logged in to discord for the first time in awhile, and it told me that all I had to do was take the other way home from work and I'd pass right by a pokestop that has the Miltank quest.
Although it does kinda blow that you need an entirely separate program to find this shit out. Then again, the Ingress Intel website was practically required usage, so it's not like this isn't uncommon for Niantic.

Yeah right now I think the mission diversity is really skewed while this quasi-holiday is going on.
Part of me is ok with it if I get Evo items instead of that terrible 3 excellent quest.

3 excellent gives an Onix though. You just want to find big things like Walimers, lady bugs, almost any raid boss. Usually big things are hard to catch too so you can just get all three throws on the same thing. I'm saving my Onix reward to get another excellent throw quest someday hopefully.

Funnily enough, I saw a typhlosion right after posting this and every shot was excellent.
Also caught my first tyranitar in a raid on lunch. So close to 28, I think I might do all I can to hit 30 this weekend so I hit the CP threshold.
I did my first raid as there happened to be one starting at the supermarket.
1 star Totodile, cleared it with just my alolan exeggutor. Then when I was passing the only gym near where I live there was a 2 star raid going which I also managed to solo by the skin of my teeth. It was a 13000cp Kirlia and I forgot is now fairy type so I chose a terrible bunch of pokemon for my team.
This also meant I finally advanced A Mythical Discovery past stage 3.
And then a 1300 scyther busted out of 5 great thrown great balls and fled, just because I was having too good a day.

I was in my hometown today, because it's always adorable to wander around a town so tiny you can see all the gyms in town on one screen. Also, because I enjoy having my gym pokemon be appropriately themed. You know what I mean. Is it near a river?
So thanks to the Johto Festival, I finally had something to put on the gym that's on a road filled with sunflowers!
But, then I came to the last one, and I faced a conundrum.
See one of the four gyms, is in a graveyard. Now, I know this is kinda common, and the argument for/against it goes all the way back to Ingress, but I needed to get to this one for two reasons: The gym is located in the parking lot before you even get to the graveyard proper, and, well..It was too good of a Gym Title, how could I not?
