buncha runs on KT last night, still haven't found some of those lvl 4 gunlances or any of the really good bow guns (AFAIK). I got the R8 LBG "Shots" but I think that isn't one of the good ones.
Taroth blitz "pierce" - despite its name it's thunder, but also normal 2. Can at least fire pierce in a pinch.
Taroth assault "support" - again with the name problems. This is an straight upgrade to legia pierce gun.
Taroth assault "glutton" - spread at max quantities.
Taroth assault "icewater" - this ones name is spot on. Huge clip of water and ice shot and good for Katie horn breaks after release.
I'll try to be on tonight as well. Spent a few hours last night doing pubbie KT runs, which ended up being a frustrating endeavor. STOP HITTING SLEEPY GOLDILOCKS PLZ.

I'm a pretty casual player so I need to really focus my effort on a particular set. What high rank monster armor will provide me the most general value early on? Should I be getting the alpha or beta version of that armor? I'm primarily an IG user if it matters.
Doing the Zorah Magdaros grind is probably the easiest thing to do right now to grab a full HR set. Since you don't have a large reserve of decorations at this stage, it's probably best to go for the alpha set to get the full complement of skills.

Yeah, you'll want mostly beta eventually, but starting out you have so few decos, if you see an alpha piece that has stuff you like, go ahead and grab it. Even skills that are only sorta useful do more than an empty slot.
I like that the view turns toward what I'm looking for after checking the map, but I despise that it keeps fighting to stop me from turning in any other direction for a while.

Just had probably the best Kulve Taroth run I'll ever have.
Had the honors of personally breaking off the horns/getting the last hit in via mounting and actually found my first glimstone on the ground in the third phase.
Pick up those damn drops, people. Never know when you might get lucky.
I've had really good lucky PUGing Code Red. Each monster goes down in about a minute save for Teo who takes about 3 minutes, and the whole thing gets done in around 12 minutes.

I'd say soloing them was the fastest for me, usually spend a bit of time waiting for the next one. Is it just the armor set + charge blade that you craft? If so then thankfully I'm all done with this event. Not sure I'm gonna bother with any last minute Kulve hunting, since it's my wife's birthday.

I think they believe maybe she can be slayed and they will be the first ever to do it.
FWIW, I will often just hit what I can so I can charge up my phials for my next huge axe hit or SAED attempt

My Code Red experience so far:
*Forgets to restock items. Has to complete it with no flash pods and other useful things. *
