At the very least I'd expect it to be racing with Arwings, rather than stuck to/hovering above the ground.

Though maybe they'll go for the true star of the series and go with dinosaur racing.

Nobody remembers the singer. The song remains.

I only have one expectation for Star Fox Grand Prix, and that's that it won't just be Mario Kart or F-Zero with amputated space furries.

    Beyond that, sky's the limit.

I have a feeling he has no idea and is just making a guess, as if someone else handled that part and he had little to do with it. He seems shocked that it's even a thing, as if it's his first time looking at it.

Because if those are metal "boots" then we have another problem which is that the Star Fox teams lower legs are so disfigured that they shouldn't be able to walk on them.

Not goin lie ... that Labo performance was cool but at the same time some of those guys looked 'Uncomfortable as F*ck' ... you could safely change the hook (the part that they sing) to that and it would still work.

The last two Travelers. And confirmation that you do not have to play the game eight times. You can stop and start stories as you go.

That's looking into it too far, like wondering how any pikmin make verbal noises other than the blue one, or how Link carries all his gear. :P

Ah hell I suspect Therion will end up being a semi-required character. If my RPG senses are working properly, lockpicking is going to gate too many good things not to.

That's the first look I've had at Octopath Traveler. That looks pretty good and it's been a while since I've scratched the JRPG itch.

Try the demo! It doesn't have a lot of the features and refinements they've been showing over the months but it's very good still.

I don't think you can say that even the co-creator is the be-all end-all of this argument when it's pretty obvious going off that stream that he hasn't even seen his own games promotional artwork before. It's entirely possible that he just had nothing to do with that aspect of it, especially considering Argonaut's relationship with Nintendo at the time.

Wizard of Legend is awesome. It's a Rogue-like with combat that is reminding me very much of Hyper Light Drifter. Can't say how good the overall progression is or anything, but the gameplay is super solid and fun.

    I ... I didn't realize that I needed a spell slinging co-op fighter in my life ... until now.

Worst part is that I'm mostly worn out on pixel art games but good golly miss molly ... inject it into my veins. If anybody is down to wizard-brawl let me know ... *breathing intensifies*

Nice! I've been following one of the pixel artists for this game on Twitter for awhile, and they've been posting progress gifs every so often. I think I'll have to pick this up - I was already planning on it, but that trailer is so well done.

Man, I backed Battle Chasers way back in the day and it looks like those of us who chose to get it digitally are SOL for a while, while THQ:Nordic and Nintendo sort out exactly how to transfer a text file full of numbers and letters between them.

"Thanks very much for backing the production of this game! Your reward? Well, you get it later than anyone else!"

(Well, I got it a bit cheaper than everyone else, too, but still. It's kinda depressing.)

I was worried about this and load times. I got it on the X1S, and it even struggles sometimes with both. It's a great game aside from that, but I'm guessing they're going to be worse on the Switch.

Have you tried powering the system down? I know that was an issue on Death Road to Canada. Dunno if it's a system thing or a game thing, though.

Yeah it didn't do anything. It's not unplayable or anything, its only a JRPG, afterall, so a silky framerate isn't really a necessity, but wandering around the world map or dungeons is definitely sub-30 fps.

In 3DS days, I'd just shut the lid and come back later, but for some reason I don't wanna do that on Switch. Probably because unlike 3DS, I have more than one game at a time I want to play.

You can save on the overworld, yes? I don't remember yet getting to a dungeon that's so long between saves that you can't reasonably backtrack to a save point or the overworld.

    I'll try that, thanks.
