I think I'm just going to buy Titan's Quest. Most of the complaints seem to be about UI. Very few complaints about bugs.
Nintendo Life, which seems pretty spot on on Switch reviews, gave it a "Good" rating of 7 out of 10. A lot of other reviews seem to be knocking it, but primarily on its core/fundamental nature - i.e. that the 2006 mechanics have not significantly evolved/been modernized. I don't know that I care about that.
At least one review (which still gave it a 4 out of 10) said that they couldn't find any of the bugs present on the console versions.

Wow, I thought I had a lot. Just hit 61 last night after I bought Banner Saga. I've had to clear space on the internal memory, and my SD card twice now. My PS4 library is almost to 600, though. I blame the ease of digital downloads! And maybe also my poor self-control.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
It’s still speculation, but the iOS port of Titan Quest is also supposedly a mess.
This after the new publisher took the previous version off the store and replaced it with the worse version. That you have to buy again.
If you already owned Titan Quest you got the new version for free on Steam? And you kept the old one also.
I was referring exclusively to the iOS version, good to hear they weren’t quite so shitty about it elsewhere.
In the App Store the old version has been delisted and replaced with a version that appears to be markedly worse in terms of stability and gameplay bugs (there are a few UI improvements, I believe). That version is not free for owners of the previous version (which I loaded up last night, runs fine, plays fine, but have to download from my old purchases).
why would they make a better port on a weaker and different system (Tegra), when they weren't able to do so on a stronger and similar system (pc-like architecture). Did they even fix the issues on the PS4? We're talking about a couple of cheap and quick cash-ins, not a labor of love.

I'm kidding. Kind of. Good luck Drez. There is every indication you'll need it. But stranger things have happened.

Two full seasons at last count.
This was was of those comments I didn’t get until a few seconds after I closed the page. Had to come back specifically to Awesome it :P
like "Quest for Identity" Flashback or some new game called Flashback?
Quest for Identity.
Includes both the original version and the new remastered one.
I never did beat it. I got VERY far when it first came out, but I had issues with some running-jump-mantling move toward the end of the game and I never beat it.
I have Fade to Black somewhere too; never even played it, though.
Average 7 hours just to beat the game, 18 hours for a completionist.
Hmmm. That would be alright for a high intensity game like Celeste (which took me, according to Steam, 22 hours to 100%), but 15 or so probable hours in a fairly low-intensity game for 40 euro is a bit harder to stomach.

I enjoyed Fade to Black for what it was; it was a much slower experience and oh boy have the early 3d controls not held up great, but I liked it enough to finish it multiple times back in the day. I also liked that you got a bad ending if you finished the game, but got the person you were escorting/rescuing killed on the way out at the end (I'd accidentally shot her while fighting the boss).
Not something I can say for something like Prince of Persia 3d. I'm not sure I ever finished the first level of that uncontrollable garbage pile.

and it's out now you say?!
Yes. It was actually mysteriously delayed from 6/7 to 6/17 to...today. I'm just wrapping up this episode of Chuck and then I'm gonna try them both (FB and TQ).

What's the deal with portable docks? Heard a lot of scary stuff. Anyone here have any good experiences?
OK, Flashback is good. I like the original sound and music better than the modern/remastered versions. But some of the modern graphics features are good. The modern version also has a rewind mode and there are multiple difficulties. I dunno - worth $20 to me for an awesome classic.
You can mix and match graphics and sound options - fully customizable. On to Titan Quest now.
Been working just fine, no problems although sometimes it takes a couple of tries plugging in the HDMI cable for it to register between the switch and the TV.
OK so this is admittedly a first impression having spent only 15 or so minutes on it, but I think Titan Quest is fine. I've only played it undocked. Admittedly, I am nearsighted, so I have no problem with very tiny text and graphics, but it plays fine and I think the UI works just fine. The only thing I could not immediately figure out is how to manually switch targets. There is an "issue" - which one of the reviews I read pointed out - where the game will occasionally target an enemy that is not close to you. Also, during boss/miniboss fights you may want to manually manage what you are targeting. Anyway, the game doesn't explain how to you so I had to look online - (you hold Y and rotate a cone toward what you want to target).
Anyway, that's my only complaint so far. Also, it does feel pretty dated, but it's a 2006 game and I'm OK with that. But the UI is fine IMO.
They should put the Sacred trilogy and Diablo 3 on Switch.

I snagged TQ on amazon back in December for 25$ and seems just fine for me, too. No regrets at all.
And then there's the Wii U's 7.5 attach rate, which it totally earned. It probably did get quite a bit of a boost there from fewer casual players owning it, though.
Didn't the original Wii have an attach rate of like 9ish, about the same as 360 and PS3?
Because at the time everyone was like PEOPLE JUST PLAY BOWLING AND THEN PUT IT IN THE CLOSET but it was the same as or better than its contemporaries, which moves the conversations to OK BOWLING AND 8 COPIES OF CARNIVAL GAMES!

Something like 100 Million Wiis were sold and around 1 billion pieces of software.

It did. Gamer culter despises "casual" games and the Wii got the reputation of being the "casual" system so it got shit on endlessly.
It's interesting looking at my Wii collection now and calling out the games that would've been all digital if released today. Not like they were bad at the time, but often cheaper and smaller. Blast Works, Ghost Squad, Geometry Wars Galaxies, Metal Slug Anthology, etc. Nintendo didn't have the infrastructure to support that kind of digital library at the time but it was also a different time in terms of development and distribution.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I personally purchased 999,999,972 Wii games. That only leaves ~28 pieces of software across the other 99,999,999 Wiis purchased, for an estimated attach rate (excluding my data as an outlier) of %0.00002800000028.

is it?
I guess I don't know but 4-5 games in almost a year and a half doesn't seem that much
I've got around 20 =p
You forget, most people ain't us.
The Switch's attach rate of 4.4 is REALLY good. That's exactly the same as the PS4 during its first year, and people kept going on and on about how great that was.
(In case you're wondering, the PS4 has an attach rate of about nine now, and that's after nearly five years)
that seems so weird!
why spend 300-400 if you're barely going to use it?
If you just play casually, you can be extremely happy with just a few games per year.

Real talk: I have 10 or so games but I’d honestly have been happy with nothing but Zelda.
Because they had months to resolve the issues that were present on the PS4?
edit: And based on the reviews I've read, that seems to be the case, at least with regard to the bugs that were present on the other console versions.

Right. Look at the original Wii and how many people only ever played bowling on the thing. Or the just dance people.
That makes 4 games look like a lot.
