Hi everyone. This is our dog singing to me... seconds after I stopped recording, he jumped up and started barking! If anyone can tell me WHY he’s singing (is he sad? hungry? uncomfortable?), I’m all ears - as much as I think it’s cute, I’m worried it’s actually a behavioural cue I might be missing!
My best guess is

Yeah, that would definitely be my guess - the chittering is generally a happy / excited sign with greyhounds, and Darcy makes the same noise when she wants to play and we're not giving her as much attention as she'd like (which is all of it).
She doesn't really like toys, so in her case she wants us to start scritching her back down near her tail and put our other hand somewhere she can pretend to be a savage beast and mouth them oh so gently as she pretends to snarl at us.

100% this is "Pay attention tooo meeeeeeeee." Atrus does this all the time when he's laying down but not actually tired. He's patiently waiting for us to finish whatever dumb stuff we are doing and PET HIM. Cure is usually a robust petting/attention session, directly followed by some toy time. Often means "i want a walk", too. But not like...I gotta potty. Just "I wanna get movin'"
It can be very annoying though, when we are doing something else, so we try not to give in to his demands all the time. Then we get a big put-out sigh.
I cant compete with newborn puppy beans
I am however going to Alma's best friend's birthday party. Fred will be turning 1. And thats right, I am my pupper's +1
Also here is Alma is being a flippy floofy wiggler
Gaston is being socialised with a little aggressive dog at the moment and he finally nipped her when she tried to bully him. It was an important landmark in him not being a fraidy cat.
I think the fact that a nip from him was about a third of the size of her body made her a little more chill.

Even half an egg sends ours into a state of gaseous eruption one step down from a national emergency. You're right about the belt though.
But maybe Gaston has a heartier digestive tract.
After Mabel's whole fish incident I'm in a heated argument with my father about what our other muppet would do with one. I think he'd swallow it whole, no chewing. My father thinks he'd just poke it a lot to see if it squeaked.
Giving animals weird food and watching them figure it out is amusing.
Once I gave a mcnugget chunk to a semi-feral cat( young enough to be acclimated but still a bit more wild than average) she could not figure it out. Batted it around for an hour before my brothers dog snagged it.

We bought the base dog a chewy treat as a reward after her last vet trip and she had no idea what to do with it. Carried it around for days but never once chewed it.
We went to dinner the other week and the house kept getting invaded by flying male driver ants (they're basically two inch long flying bags of sperm). I felt sorry for them so I decided to take one back outside, but while I was catching it the hosts four month old bull terrier got interested and ate it.
I got Lola a birthday bone and her new thing is bringing it around me not chewing it and then hiding it.
Im very confused on what her end game is I honestly thought itd be gone by now but she juzt seems proud of it
When Haechi is given a new edible bone (anything larger than instant-snarf size) he doesn't eat it at first, he goes berserk throwing it in the air and at the sofa and at people and barking and hopping around it. Then eventually he's like "cool I guess I'm over it," and the next thing you know it's gone.
"Sandra has a good solid anti-murderer vibe. My skin felt very secure and sufficiently attached to my body when I met her. Also my organs." HAIL SATAN

Chili is... insane. She's a handful and sometimes I don't sleep well because of her and occasionally she is a jerk to her brother. BUT:
