If someone made a big budget live action Metal Gear Solid 1 movie, who would you want as Solid Snake?

    1980s Kurt Russel.

    Well duh.

No time machines. Current actors only.

So alternate universe is out as well?

If it’s a good pull, I’ll allow it.

I went looking for his moustache but learned this
He has referred to himself as a socialist in an essay titled 'Why I Call Myself a Socialist: Is the World Really a Stage?', which was published online and later in a nonfiction collection titled Essays.

I didn't know Wallace Shawn was cool

    Wait.

We know how powerful Henry Cavill's moustache is, yes?

What about a moustache and a mullet? And a bandana. For sneaking.

Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

I went to a talk which was really just a conversation between him and Noam Chomsky. He's an interesting dude!

Watched Philadelphia tonight, and came away extremely surprised by how it didn't feel cloying and Oscarbait-y like I was expecting it to (only really knowing the premise), I was continually surprised by extremely strong story decisions, like starting basically in the middle of the story and cutting away from the most important details of the setup to let the audience come to their own conclusions, and ultimately making the case irrelevant to the actual story

    Really, really pleasantly surprised

At this point it is really weird for people to use "millenials" as a term for kids/teens when actual millenials are in their 20s/early 30s.

Very few people who use the phrase have any idea of what it actually means - it's basically just "those damn kids" in one word to them.

edit: alright alright so according to wikipedia, i am... also a millenial. which makes no god-damn sense, because i was already a voting adult before the turn of the new millennium. so i'm going to keep using this arbitrary label as the derisive and crotchety term it was always meant to be
