Please don't talk to Marvel's first Japanese editor in chief like that
i dont get this
C.B Cebulski pretended to be a Japanese person to sell Japanese-themed X-Men stories to Marvel and circumvent rules about editorial staff getting hired as writers as well
This reminded me that the Mandrill is a character.
Ever time I remember that the Mandrill is a character, I have to take my glasses off and just rub the bridge of my nose, maybe massage my temples a little bit, looking very exhausted the entire time.
I just tried to read the marvel wiki page about the Mandrill to see if he was as awful as I vaguely remembered and good god, I couldn't get through two sentences before doing exactly what you described.
I never heard of the Mandrill so I tried to read the Wikipedia page too. Now I'm doing the exact same thing. It's contagious
I made it to nekra and the black spectre. Nope.

This part made me laugh though
Steve Gerber dialogued his first appearance and wrote several subsequent appearances, but denied having a hand in the character's creation, saying he was all Seuling's.
“What? God no, please do not give me any credit for that shit.”

C.B. Cebulski skirted around some rules to write while as an editor (I think) by creating a Japanese alternative identity named Akita Yoshida.

Maybe a bit late to the conversation but Shattered Grid had some real nice moments such as the special Megazord combination in Go Go Power Rangers' side of the story (which besides being more focused on the Power Rangers as people is set in the first few months or so of the team's existence and thus before the Green Ranger's intro).
See, Older Kim had been brainwashed and was given the Gravezord, a Megazord pieced together from the remains of the Thunderzords to fight the past Rangers. Once she snapped out of it, she and the team were able to bring them together.
Oh, and if you want to know what the Power Rangers lineup will be post Shattered Grid, here's a cover featuring the lineup.
And at the latest Power Rangers convention, they got a selection of actors from the previous series to do a live-reading of one of the issues including a dude with a very familiar voice.
I head some chatter on twitter that Marvel is in talks to bring John Byrne back, accompanied with some of his more "colorful" statements from the past and man, just fuck Marvel.

It straight up baffles me that some dude could receive the company, break their corporate policy, cause a legitimate racism scandal, and then be made CEO.
Like, goddamn, white dudes just fail upwards so hard, huh?
Everything looks beautiful when you're young and pretty
It is less talks and more that Cebulski straight up said that bringing Byrne back is a dream of his
Also, to just put a cherry on the sundae, Ike Perlmutter donated 500,000 to the GOP Florida Governor's race candidate that said his black opponent would "monkey things up"
In brighter (although still fucked up that it is necessary) news, Charles Soule, who was on that panel but did not say anything shitty, is offering free consultation and legal advice to any non-US comics creators who are going/planning to travel to the US for conventions or meetings, as he was an Immigration lawyer for a long time before becoming a writer

Charles “I got time” Soule continues to astound me.

Ethan van sciver makes me feel dirty. The first thing I saw was the Hitler sinestro art book, and I remember thinking to myself well that's not so bad. I've made jokes about nazi before, etc. It's like he heard me and was like no man, you got me all wrong. Let me show you

I dont remember everything but the big one that David Brothers brought up recently, which is apparently documented, is he drew racist caricatures of Christopher Priest after he left Marvel

Goddamn John Byrne, you're fucking gross. Have people only started talking about this recently? I had heard of the Lobdell stuff when I started reading about his era on Uncanny X-Men, but had somehow missed John Byrne's shit.

I think people mainly don't talk about Byrne because he's not really active in the industry, he's easy-ish to ignore

No wonder spencer keeps getting hired
Or was that a bit somewhere I can’t remember
I didn't make it that far, and don't want to know

"Ride or Die" confirmed Dominic Toretto, as they took off to find the Dragon Balls in hopes of reviving their friend Sonic
It looks like the Cebulski bullshit is getting some attention at least
the power rangers are literally space warlocks, one of the destiny classes, sorry

Fuckin outstanding
and he wound up being one, just in the opposite way as intended
There is literally zero chance he owns less than 2.

Also a musician
What did John Byrne do?
The ones i saw.
Okay I know that this isn't the point of that Spacetwinks tweet, but 1) what and 2) Doesn't everyone call them thought bubbles?
