For a second I thought that was a normal pizza with a sushi crust.

But no, it's all sushi. That is fucking incredible

Sushi is great as sushi, why would I want it to look like something else? And how would you even eat that? I have a lot of questions and grouchy opinions.

Bad food thread I am looking for good granola/fruit/food bars.

I use to really like the Kashi dark chocolate cherry but they don't sell them anywhere near me anymore.

I tried a Larbar today and its ok, but not as crunchy as I want.

What do you guys shove in your face when you need a pick me up during office hours?

I really like the trader Joe's granola bar selection but that depends if you have one nearby. Otherwise Kind bars are pretty good.

    I like Cliff Mojo bars.

    https://www.amazon.com/CLIF-MOJO-Sweet-Salty-Mountain/dp/B001G7REDC/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1534437057&sr=8-2&keywords=cliff+mojo+mountain+mix

The peanut butter ones are good too.

The only problem is finding them. Amazon is the only place i can buy them anymore, and its like they get shipments occasionally otherwise the price is crazy high from third party places.

I've been looking for some vaguely healthy midmorning snack that I can keep at my desk, so I purchased what I thought was a granola bar with berries in it. It turned out to be a solid block of pressed dried berries, and it was the sweetest thing I've eaten since I stopped buying Nerds Ropes, and it made me very thirsty.

I don't remember the brand, but keep an eye out for fruit deception.

Sadly most granola is just a trap calorie bomb that seems like health food. If you need the calories though, they are a great option!

I pretty much only eat them as a fast breakfast, because yeah they're a bit much as a snack. But regardless I try to max out the fibre:calorie ratio, because your bowels can always use an assist.

I like yogurt as a snack. Sweet but not too sweet, not too many calories, a decent balance of sugar and protein for quick pick-up and lasting fullness.

  • BucketmanBucketman Call me SkraggRegistered User regular
Yeah my new job doesn't let us keep much/eat much at your desk, but food bars are ok.

I almost bought like a meat bar last night with bison and stuff but I thought it would be gross so I backed off

    I'm staking my flag in the under-represented pro-pancake, pro-waffle, anti-pikelet side.

Sorry, neutrality is not really allowed in food war. The pancake people will likely tie you to a chair and force feed you. Waffle people on the other hand don't mind if you have no preference....

Typical sensationalist propaganda from that den of liars and thieves, waffle-lovers.
Oh? Then explain this. Pro waffle insiders sent us this footage of a pancake torture facility.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--y3bwfnzMw

That video clearly shows that bunny consuming those pancakes of its own accord. It was not forced, it wanted those pancakes so too much to live. In Pacake land, we support body autonomy.

We have analyzed the entire video. The bunny is blinking in morse code the word "Torture".

Neither you nor anyone you know knows or will ever know any sort of code, let alone the most difficult and impossible to crack code, most-commonly referred to by the code-name, Morse.

The last person to know anything about the Morse Code died in 1879.

If you have a nearby Target they have trail mix packaged in individual bags, the cranberry cashew almond is pretty good.

Fake bacon bits are great and it's because they're crunchy. If you get a jar of real bacon bits they're just kinda gummy and sad; fake bacon bits are always crunchy and honestly add more bacon flavor than the real thing. They also add a lovely neon red visual pop to an otherwise dull salad.

While quite bored at work I was reading the other uses tips they give on some of the packages one of the real bacon bits salad toppings recommends it for brownies

Just make your own bacon bits, it's not hard

Bacon, foil, pan, oven, time, hulk smash, done

You don't even have to clean anything, just toss the foil and grease (or bake some potatoes in it)

  • MadicanMadican No face Registered User regular
Had some Habit Burger today with their onion rings. The onion rings were absolutely amazing, a transcendent experience I've never felt before and I never once felt they needed any dressing at all, just maybe a bit more crispness to reach true perfection. The burger was, at best, mediocre.

bacon bits are cheaper than the same amount of bacon
