Just make your own bacon bits, it's not hard

Bacon, foil, pan, oven, time, hulk smash, done

You don't even have to clean anything, just toss the foil and grease (or bake some potatoes in it)

bacon bits are cheaper than the same amount of bacon

They are also Vegan. The name brand at least

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

I'm sorry the bad food thread talked about how it likes cheaper, easier bacon

It was more in reference to real premade bacon bits, which sound bad. Fake bacon bits, eh, they're fine I guess? But yeah I guess I wasn't clear, my bad

  • jgeisjgeis Registered User regular
Real bacon bits from like Oscar Mayer or Hormel are just the worst. They're more like bacon jerky than crunchy bacon bits. I'd take the fake stuff all the time over those.

Real bacon bits that you make from bacon at home can be good and crunchy.

    This.

Back when I have be up pork, I'd still get a jar of bacon bits for emergency salt reasons.

Dunno about them, but for me it was a religious thing.

Yes dear, I'm the weirdo for liking ketchup and mustard on my chili cheese dog. Your bread, meat, cheese, with pickles on the side, and nothing else on it burger is totally the norm.

Found a store that had all sorts of pumpkin stuff set up already. I picked up the pumpkin spice pirouline, biscotti thins, and a pack of coffee syrups(pumpkin spice, pumpkin caramel, and pumpkin cheesecake). The biscotti things are the only ones I've tried so far, think bagel chips made out of pumpkin bread. They're delicious.

Picked up a jug of the new peanut butter monster trail mix at target too. Peanut butter M&Ms, Peanuts, Raisins, Peanut butter pretzels, mini peanut butter cups, and peanut butter chips.

I don't know what kind of trail they're expecting me to take a jug of Halloween candy on, but that sounds delicious.

I will need to investigate obvs

I like my chili dogs with just chili and cheese, but I've seen mustard added as a default in a lot of places.

Adding ketchup to a tomato-based dish like chili seems a bit redundant, but I admit I haven't tried it.

I like the added sweetness from the ketchup, and the mustard adds a vinegary note. And I'm not busting on her burger preference, I just think it was odd to call me out when her order isnt "the norm" either.

I have no issues with eating bugs (crickets are a great protein-rich snack that I wishw ere easier to find) but an uncleaned, present-whole tarantula is one of the least appetizing things I've ever seen.

I had a pet tarantula named Bud when I was a kid. I'm not sure I could look my hot dog in its eight little eyes without feeling guilty about it.

People keep pigs as pets. I'm not fussed about the spider (as I recall it was ... Grilled? I think?) But it did seem a little overpriced.

I heard where there was a tarantula that was going to get shipped off to the hot dog stand, but it was spared thanks to the love of a child and a really smart pig who learned to poop the words "Some Spider."

Spanakopita is one of my frequent lunch rotations. It's pretty healthy, it reheats well, and you can periodically shout "spanakopita!" throughout the entire cooking process and whenever anyone asks what you're having for lunch.

Though looked down on by many people, sometimes I get a craving for cheap grocery store frozen pizza.

What is everyone’s go to brand? Mine is Red Baron or Tombstone.

I haven't tried a whole bunch, but Red Baron's single serve ones have my nostalgia while Digiorno's rising crust was surprisingly good. Regular Digiorno's and Newman's Own were a bit disappointing.

I'm a Red Baron man, myself. Although sometimes nothing will quiet the craving quite like a Digiorno stuffed crust pepperoni.

I also have a soft spot for the Tony's 5-pack garbage pizzas that got me through college, although I haven't seen those since I left Texas.
