That is a way more appealing visual style than Rebels which I could not really deal with.

Is that a Starchaser at 42 seconds?
I hope so, anything to further pull the XvT series into canon.

I just found out dance of the fates has supplanted duel of the fates in my head.

Like I was watching a dumb video using duel of the fates and it started with the chanting like normal..

And then the EDM didn’t kick in and I was confused.

Finished mercy kill, the last x wing book.
Man oh man. In the final era of old eu stuff it was mostly about huge series, so having mercy kill just be about the wraiths doing what they do best was such a breath if fresh air. Plus seeing a Yuuzhan Vong adapting to the known galaxy was a brilliant writing choice. I really miss Aaron allston

With the exception of there being very little actual x wing stuff.
But you get piggy as the main character!

Did I miss this? I eventually fell off during the Lost Sith storyline. Which, admittedly, was pretty late in the EU. I’ll have to go look at my bookshelf.

Man he better not get a promotion after all the bullshit he pulled, Poe should be cleaning toilets (with the helpful advice of janitorial master Finn)

There are far too many posts after that for me to link them all here, but I'd encourage reading the rest of the thread on Twitter. It's a good thread about themes in Star Wars and how TLJ references them and builds upon them.

What do you figure is the punishment for spaceship mutiny, like keelhauling but in vacuum or do they just shoot you out into space like Spock but no casket

Or maybe in a casket but you're still alive I guess

Broke as fuck in the style of the times. Gratitude is all that can return on your generosity.

Depends on what side you're on.
Empire? Toss you in a space suit and kick you out the nearest airlock. Then they broadcast your radio communications to the entire ship as a warning to anyone else who may be working up the guts for mutiny. Maybe you get lucky enough to just piss off Vader and he does you in quick though.

Rebellion? If you took the ship, you got the ship. Pretty sure mutiny was how the majority of the Rebel ships became Rebel ships. Seems like it would be kind of hypocritical to go back on that policy now.

Ideally Poe has all authority ripped from him.

He's still a competent agent but he lost the right to command others.

It’s probably less “we just cast this person” and more “we’re telling you about who we cast 8 months ago”
