I mean look, there are very high-quality items out there that can be described as "toys" that are also cool as fuck.
And if I drop $200+ dollars on a lightsaber that I actually built with my own two hands, it's purchasing the experience and the story along with the item. Nevermind that I'll also be more likely to wear it out in public once in a while than if I got, I dunno, a replica-quality Kamen Rider belt or similar.
If I lived closer to the theme park I would have less rationalizing to do.
But no, I have to rationalize a whole drive down and hotel space and we should probably spend a number of days there to see other parts of the theme park too since it's such a drive, yeah? I mean I would legitimately like to attend many other attractions and rides there besides just the Star Wars stuff
I have to fly halfway around the world but also I tend to be able to stay with folks for free, so.
Disneyland fucking rules though, and it’ll take you days to do everything, so I wouldn’t get too worked up. See exactly what you want and nothing else, I assure you it’ll be a full-ass day.

Funnily enough, I'm heading to Disneyland...wait...Disneyland? Disney World? Whichever one is the one in Orlando anyway...next October with the boyfriend, and one of the main reasons we're going is Galaxy's Edge.
It'll be my first time in Disney...er...LandWorld (yes I know I could just google which one it is - shut up!) AND my first time ever in America.
And I am pretty sure I will end up becoming the biggest Star Wars geek there is when I get there - the thought of being able to actually build my own lightsaber is not something I actually realised I neededwanted needed until now.
Gonna be a whole week in Disney, and I think we're already mentally preparing to allocated a whole day or two just to Galaxy's Edge.
It's all saltwater these days:
Ocean, tears and heartbreak soup
Half alive in a whitecap foam
Half in love with a white half moon
use the Force to move the... magnetic field, I think? that holds the lightsaber blade in?
You clash with your foe and are doing the face-to-face grimacing at each other thing and you Force bend the upper half of the blade 90 degrees and surprise you cut that dude's head right open
There's a graphic out there with some "unconventional" saber moves, and one of them is pretty close - using Force Pull to yank the other guy's face into your (or his?) blade.
I feel like they showed the character doing this in one of the Jedi Fallen Order trailers or gameplay clips
One thing I'd legit like to see in Star Wars is a wrist-mounted lightsaber glaive
3 branches that spin, the thing can be used as a buckler to block lasers and lightsabers, and also it's a wrist-mounted launcher that you can get back with the Force.
Yeah I know it's Jedi Captain America, so what, do it.

There's totally a scene in my head of one Auralnaut seeing 3PO's red eyes then hurriedly running out to the nearest phone booth and nervously fishing quarters out of his pocket, dropping a bunch of them, dialing furiously and going OTHER AURALNAUT

The best thing about the Phineas and Ferb Star Wars special is that the story happens completely in and around the actual movie story and doesn't interfere with it in any way and it all makes sense in the context of the silliness of the show.

My wife and I decided that we're saving the Disney World trip until we can get into the Halycon for $$$$ (so maybe never, but we're in California if we really need the star wars land fix).

We actually went back a second time after they opened up the park to no reservations and we still spent the whole day in Galaxy's Edge but this time doing the datapad stuff that we missed thanks to only having 4 hours in the park. If anyone can reasonably make the trip, it was still pretty/relatively empty when we went a few weeks ago, and should still be now that school is started back up, so you have more space to enjoy everything.
Also, we both got droids from the build-a-beardroid factory on the second trip. Still my favorite place in Disneyland and worth the 7 hour drive down to SoCal, though I think I'm flying to SoCal next time, I can't handle the long drives as much anymore.
I would buy 13 lightsabers. I would only drink thermal detonator cokes and blue milk. Why yes, I will buy this life sized replica of Boba Fett for $5,000.
I would steal a droid. I would steal several droids.
Taking my son to Star Wars Celebration this year since it was in Chicago and only about a 30-40 minute drive from home was fun, but also fraught. Just non-stop Herculean efforts to not buy things until we left :P
After thinking about it if Rey spends any time swinging her double saber with both blades on one side like a giant Final Fantasy-ass broadsword I think Id be ok with that.
See, I already figured we'd have to drive there to make sure our lightsabers we make didn't get damaged during the flight, and now here's another reason!
Actual quotes from Filoni and Favreau are much less direct, more just hinting at the fact that since this is a post-RotJ story there are naturally going to be allusions to the state of galactic affairs that led to the FO.

I wonder exactly how much you have to offer Werner Herzog to get him in your show/movie
I'd go on a family vacation and film the whole thing and then work with him to cut it down into a documentary about my family that he narrates, obviously.

Interestingly, Pong Krell fell to the Dark Side. Worth mentioning, because the Jedi Temple Guard with the unfolding sabre is actually The Inquisitor
That's two for two Jedi falling for the Dark Side with that kind of blade.
He has twice the arms, he gets twice the sabres.

I'd imagine that'd also be useful for that sort of thing.

Yeah! Kinda!
I imagine the blades shorter and spinning parallel to your forearm so it can make a round shield but same principle.

Red Eye Threepio is going to be worth it just for the Auralnauts mileage.

As long as you've got that sweet all weather Jedi robe you should be fine.
If not, just hold up a convenience store with your lightsaber.

Three months later, he finally completed the series. Full playlist runs a little under five and a half hours.
