Personally I'm wondering if Sega will block Windy Hill Zone from reappearing since Sonic Lost World majorly underperformed.
Silver and Sonic 06 music have been in Smash since Brawl.
And they let Bayonetta in despite the Platinum Games curse being a thing wrt game sales.
But, like, the music's the only good thing in Sonic 06. Keeping the instrumental version of "His World" alive is the only way SEGA can save face from that clusterfuck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2tdSiQAF20

Also, I hope they bring this intro song from Sonic CD back in Ultimate (yes, it's called Sonic Boom, but it's from Sonic CD): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh7xffO0i1I
Here's the original intro animation from Sonic CD if you're interested:
if they DID have an undertale character I think Papyrus would be a better choice than Sans anyway
And it'd be Frisk in the end, because Sakurai always chooses the protagonist first*.
*Unless there is a powerful mitigating factor, such as "Chrom is a character whose only demonstrated ability is hitting things with a sword, which is the same power as Marth and Ike from the same series, and there also exists a secondary protagonist from the same game with a more unique ability set".
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
I played about 45 minutes of Undertale, then the game glitched or something and i lost all my progress and never went back to it. I do remember not killing anything, though.

I thought it was a cool system until I ran into a monster I had already seen before, at which point opting for the nonviolent solution became a huge chore and I peaced right out.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone here do much in the way of tournament organizing? I've done it a fair bit in the past and I'm currently keeping a close ear to the ground on how stages might end up this time around. There is a real possibility for a huge stage list, given the hazard toggle now, and I'm not really for people doing the stage striking process for a huge list. I already am less than in love with striking to begin with, and making it a longer process wouldn't help. Just wondering if anyone had their own thoughts on this.
I'm still waiting on my 3 amiibo shovel knight set. Which got me thinking, what if instead of shovel knight , they went with plague night or one of the DLC characters. I would be so cool with that.
I think the way we used to do it was that we'd roll a random number generator to determine the first stage, then loser picks the next stage?
I think some people mentioned that back in the MLG days of Melee they did something like this. And it's an idea being thrown around right now. Some people are suggesting to do things in "seasons," with a rotating map list, but I forsee too many issues with something like that to ever happen.

I never played the game myself, but isn't pacifism the whole point of Undertale? Doing literally everything in your power to avoid fighting?
The point is more giving you the choice and playing it through. You can be a friendly sort, never kill anyone, and you will end up with a bunch of new friends. Or you can be a psycho and murder everything, and heroes will appear to try and stop you. The tagline is "the RPG where you don't have to kill anyone" - like, you can, but it's always your choice, the game won't force you to do it.
Evidently in Wooly World, the amiibo code for any given costume unlock is set up to allow a specific amiibo, or an amiibo from any series. Daisy in particular was set up to allow from any series despite only being in the Mario series. Also in that position is Waddle Dee.
Waddle Dee is not present when this scene is recreated during DeDeDe’s final smash

I don't have any particular affection for the character, but Legacy XP's Waluigi is pretty fun. If it were something like that I'd be down for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IheFeUKMqCw
I'm borrowing from a post on Reddit, but I still like the idea enough to share it: yet another cross-franchise Echo Fighter pairing, casting Giegue/Giygas's original form as a Mewtwo clone. They have similar builds and an affinity for psychic power, and it would complete the set of Mother games for having a character from it.
Not borrowing from a post on Reddit, yet another Echo Fighter idea: Isaac from Golden Sun as an Echo Fighter for Robin. Here's the twist: rather than tomes, Isaac uses Djinni unleashes, with Venus (Earth) taking the place of Thunder, Mercury (Water) taking the place of Nosferatu, Mars (Fire) taking the place of Elfire, and Jupiter (Air) taking the place of Elwind. He can use each up to four times, with charges returning over time. While a Djinni is on cooldown, Isaac becomes weaker in some way, the way unleashing Djinni in battle in Golden Sun lowered your stats-- Mars lowers Isaac's attack damage (lower strength), Venus causes him to take more damage (lower defense), Jupiter causes him to move slower (lower agility), and Mercury makes him lighter (lower HP).
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
And he could probably have Titan Blade, Megiddo, or Odyssey as a Final Smash.

Ideally we would get a full character version of Isaac with Felix as an echo fighter. Generally for a franchise that isn't represented by a playable character yet it would be disappointing to only get an echo fighter of an existing character from a different franchise. Though if the choice was between having him be a Robin echo fighter or not in the game at all, I'd take the echo.
Make Waluigi an echo of Bayonetta but when he tries to fire guns nothing happens because he has no guns. And when he tries to use wicked weaves nothing happens.

Pirate ship drove me fucking crazy. In the water and then whoops spiked by the damn stage.

... Sans?
actually wait that's fake isn't it, unless someone can find the actual tweet
yeah fake as hell durr
Super fake.
I would love an Isa/Kachi character in Smash, though. Hoverboards, laser cannon/swords, and monster transformations, what's not to love?

God, I hope not. That was a way better stage than the Green Hill one.

Feels better than Brawlout, but recovery still feels off. Maybe I'm too used to the easy recoveries of Brawl and 4.
I was in the closed beta - I was really impressed with the netplay

His final smash would be overloading the screen with text because holy shit that game never shuts up.
