But I didn't say the transparency was THE problem with the game, or the cause of any particular issue I just said that apart from anything or everything else the Star Citizen development has done, it has given me good cause to believe that too much transparency can be bad for a game development and for its community. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.

Oh, I totally feel you. Many unproductive weeks have been had at work thanks to Games done Quick and Giant Bomb, and my inability to be responsible. I was surprised when I booked this vacation over E3. I'm just saying, I want to make this a regular thing.

If they were keeping development as a black box and were pushing out a busted-ass alpha build every couple years after eight years of development, this situation wouldn't look any better. Arguably it would look worse.
The problem is that they're pushing out busted alpha builds after eight years, selling people new "ships" every month, and promising whatever comes to mind without any hint of a clear design scope.
They basically don't even have a proof of concept yet.

Got a PS4 and bloodborne today
I am super bad at even basic movement in bloodborne so I might end up returning/exchanging that
and possibly the PS4 as well but I'm gonna borrow some games from my boyfriend and give it a couple days for the sticker shock to wear off first before deciding
its got a real nice controller though, goodness
