I’m leaving on a work trip for 2 weeks and needed to mow the lawn and tend to weeds yesterday to prep for that stretch and was near hallucinating near the end.

Or maybe it was the beer I was chugging to keep cool during...

Beer is definitely not the ideal choice for intense yardwork. After? Absolutely. But you wanna be chugging water during.

Oh, man. It's stupid hot outside and I'm on a three-day weekend. Believe I'll put off my shower until this afternoon and have a nice refreshing Shower Beer.

Oh yeah def. I was alternating bottles of water with cans of beer. In addition to peeping the yard, I wanted to clear the fridge for my absence :)

I can't tell if my ac in my jeep just isn't keeping up with how fucking hot it is or if it needs freon.

Either way my ass is devestated.

Yea my Crown Vic is the same way. Anything above 80f or so and the AC can't keep up. Between that and the Vinyl seats not breathing at all makes summer real rough.

Kinda shocked that even with the heat wave going across the easy half of the country we're still just flirting with 110 here in the Vegas Valley (as opposed to being well above it). Guess it doesn't reach out west far enough. It's been a weird year for us weather-wise though.

We moved on Friday. It took about 8 hours. Yesterday I went back to our old house and cleaned out the garage and shed and carried out some trash we hadn't gotten to before the move. It took about 6 hours, most of it outside. Both days I ended up having to shower again in the afternoon and change clothes because I was so sweaty.

Today I am absurdly lethargic. Haven't been able to get much accomplished despite being super productive for the past week and really needing to get more unpacked and assembled. Took a nap for several hours just now.

It's almost as though all of that work outside while the temperature hovered around 98-100 both days took a toll on me. Ugh. Just the worst possible weekend to move.

We're projected to hit 84° on Wednesday with a low of 72° which will likely be the first night of the year where I'll have to run the AC to make sleeping comfortable. I've been able to go without so far. But I live pretty close to the coast so it's cooler here than DTLA or any of the outlying areas, especially cooler than the SFV or SGV.

It's cool right now, 64° at 10:41PM, but humidity is high at 85% which is a bit odd for LA. They're only projecting 53% on Wednesday so at least it'll be a dry warm day.

Yesss.. it's nice an cool here today. I avoided the massive heat this weekend, and come back to OK weather.
The weather gods will smite me soon, I know, but for now I can be slightly happy.

We're probably reach 100°F this week. It's going to be super fun in this open office floor plan with roughly 30-40 people per floor with as many PCs and twice as many screens, windows to all directions and AC only in the small server-rooms.

28°C here tomorrow, which in a country where every house is built to capture and maintain the heat as much as possible means it'll be pretty miserable.

If it gets too bad in my loft office I'll have to prop the portable air conditioner up on a stool so the hose can vent out of a skylight. I never got around to buying an extension

The warmest July 24th in Belgium has been noted at 36.6 degrees Celcius.

It is predicted that we’re going to hit 40 degrees Celcius at some places.

But hey, at least tomorrow will only be body temperature warmth :rotate:

I remember the time where 30 C was considered extremely hot and abnormal in this little old country...

It was sprinkling in most places at best, but someone in my office described it as "feeling like a hurricane rolling in." The winds have maxed out <20mph today, which is far, far lower than LA gets during other parts of the year.

Also, here's a neat not really weather but nature related thing:

Just 29 here on Thursday. Should be positively parky

It hit 27 in the loft this afternoon and I am a giant dummy and hadn't taken the portable a/c unit upstairs ahead of time so at the hottest part of the day I had to haul this giant thing upstairs, leaking legionnaires water everywhere in the process because I forgot to empty it first. It's such an open space that even with it on for 3 hours with the blinds down it only shaved about 4 degrees off

    Can't wait for Thursday! Sigh

It's 22 right now or for those using f it's 72 at night tomorrow is supposed to be cooler but it's now a huge debate one of the smaller chain grocery stores has good deals but is it a harrowing ride on my bike and if I take the bus equally as dubious

So it's probably I will have to go beg for a ride to the store sighting how hot it's been

They had to cancel a stage of the Tour de France because of a freak snow and hail storm. I know the stage is at ~9000ft which changes how weather patterns behave, but that's still wild and bizarre coming the day after most of France set record high temperatures. Like, they had to bring out snowplows and front-end loaders to clear away snow and slush, it was a lot of precipitation!
