It's hot here, in Montreal dot Quebec dot Canada dot com. It's humid, also.

Is it hot where you are? Is it humid?

How are you, Summer Weather Thread?

I'm sure it's hot in Canada, but it was 112 here today. I'm sure anyone in Phoenix has me beat, though.

112? That's more than boiling! How did your internal liquids not explode through your skin?

    *finger to ear*

I'm being told Fahrenheit degrees don't count as much heat per degree as Celsius.

Was it a dry or humid heat, though?

It was in the 80s today and it sucked. Supposed to be even hotter this week. I hate summer.

It's not even hot here, but it's miserably goddamn humid right now so I'm just sitting here sweating like a hog

It's hot. I'd kill for a little humidity here though. At least if there's a little humidity fans work better at cooling you off.

But I have ac to cool me off and the high humidity makes it extra hard for the ac to do its job

Fucking summer is the worst I tell ya

Give me a cool cloudy autumn day right now and I could die a happy man

Arizona, for those who may not know, is a desert, so it was likely very dry

It was (does sums) 89F here today, sunny and mild with an afternoon breeze. I did a 30km bike ride, perfect weather for it.

Only got to 80 something today when it was pushing close to 100 all last week, dry desert heat all the way. But I was mislead by a forecast that it would be super overcast today, so I decided to walk to the movie theater and see The Incredibles 2. Actually it totally clear skies after about the first half hour of my walk, and I sunburned the shit out of my arms and neck. So that's pretty great.

On the plus side, the movie was excellent, and the walk gave me time to get caught up on all my podcast listening for the first time in months.

Close to 90 here, and I did a three mile city hike to the grocery and back with a backpack on and layers, because I'm an idiot.

The A/C in my car has been busted for over a year now.
Every time I think it's too hot in the car, I remember being on top of a dark grey painted jet pulling stuck screws in a 104°f summer, and think "nah, it's okay".

Which is funny because at the time I was getting through that by remembering the stories from the folks in Qatar about having to place foam pads and blankets between them and the aircraft or else they'd get burned through their clothes, then having those blankets and foam pads melt to the aircraft.

I am going to Australia in a week.

But it's winter there so it's ok.

I'm probably never going to Australia in the summer again unless somebody dies. Life's too short to spend summer in Australia.

    Nope.

Edit: oddly, it’s rather cool here today, a balmy 27 with some rather insistent wind, owing to the typhoons on either side of the island.

Today it was about 65 degrees F. This is roughly within 3 degrees of 99.9% of all the other days here in any given year.

I rode a bike and wore a T-shirt. I briefly thought about bringing a light hoodie but did not.

I used to think that because I’m from Southern California.

Then I moved to Japan for a couple years.

Believe me when I tell you that seasons exist and they hate you and want you to die.
