I don't know about the rest of you, but I, for one, am stoked to get a non-sequitur story in the middle of a major story arc. This is a very smart move, and not at all something that kills the pacing and is otherwise a complete waste of time.

I mean, it's a charity thing apparently and if you don't like it you can just skip it.

Oh...
That's what it's for...

Well now I feel like a colossal prick.
can't bakugo basically fly without being floated anyway
i thought this was weird in the sports festival when it was treated that uraraka would win if she was able to float him - wouldn't he just fly around and not be rung out

Oh thats because
they thought she was gunning on disorienting him with sudden weightlessness and pushing out of bounds
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
The way Uraraka's effect is depicted, an affected Bakugo would have to do pretty small kabooms to not just ring himself out.
And then we assume he manages to get under control, but over the out of bounds area. And she cancels it on him as he turns to attack. He faceplants the ground and loses. If she were going to win, I see that being how it happens.
I assume Uraraka's quirk probably has some kind of upper size/mass limit, although given what she's been to shown to be capable of it'd have to be pretty large.

People ship Uraraka with Bakugo as a weird ship but if you're gonna go with something else besides the obvious romance it should be Kirishima. They've got good chemistry.

If I had to guess pairings will be based on proximity, since the romance is pretty shallow here.
Deku and Uraraka
Todoroki and Yaomomo
Denki and Jiiro
Toru and tail kid
Kirishima and Ashido?
Tsuyu and not sure.

Bakugo and Deku are like, 1 million percent filling out the checklist for yaoi shipping
To the point where I kind of have a hard time not believing it's not at least a little bit on purpose
