There was more than debate. It was conventional wisdom in sports media and GS management was prepared to do it but Kerr wanted the chance to see if he could make the "Splash Brothers" more productive in a proper system.
So much could have been different about this league if the Knicks and Kerr didn't get into a financial dispute. Kerr could have been in New York, Love would have been in Oakland, and who knows where Lebron, Klay, and the Cavs would have ended up.

that's gonna go down as one of the worst trades in history if the kings pick ends up doing anything. thankfully they seem decent this year so at least it might only be picking a huge bust at the top of the draft merely not also giving away another incredibly high pick.

Knicks have now won back to back games against the Celtics and Pelicans. Alonzo Trier is the hero tonight with a new career high, 25 points. This team is still not any good but it's cool to see them win against good teams from time to time.
Hornets do the thing where we lose a close game to go a game under .500 then win two in convincing fashion and then promptly lose another close one to go back to even.

Knicks got their 3rd in a row, punctuated by a pretty nice dunk from Emmanuel Mudiay. Enes Kanter with the double double, 21 points and career high + league high on the year 26 rebounds
I've seen stuff from a few places but I'm not sure what's true or not. I'm going to spoiler it and try to be as respectful as possible, but if I fuck up I apologize in advance.
Masin Elijé, a self-identified gay man, went on Twitter to claim that Dwight Howard cheated on him with other men and trans men. When Elije allegedly confronted Howard about the cheating, he is alleged to have threatened Elije with physical harm. Elije says he is only coming forward because people claiming to be close to Howard have begun harassing him in an attempt to keep him quiet about the relationship.
There are also reports that Elije also created rumors back in 2017 that rapper Playboi Carti was gay, including faking direct messages between the two (which would fit into these allegations), which is why I used the word allegedly when describing Elije's accusations.
The whole ordeal isn't being covered by a lot of major publications yet (haven't even seen TMZ on it which seems like it would be up their alley), so it's hard to link anything about what's going on. Plus there has been a LOT of homophobic and transphobic shit coming out in the aftermath.
