The Washington Post has reinstated Felicia Sonmez in the most mealy-mouthed manner possible, after suspending her over her being attacked for tweeting the Daily Beast story discussing Kobe's rape. This was not a good look for the Post, and it's good to see Sonmez isn't going to take this lying down:
Sonmez issued a tough statement in response to the lifting of her suspension: “I believe that Washington Post readers and employees, including myself, deserve to hear directly from Marty Baron on the newspaper’s handling of this matter.”
Replace the all star game with a musical adaptation of Space Jam, featuring an impromptu pickup game and performances from Kendrick Lamar and Hatsune Miku.
Hawks just had the refs hand them 5 points for free at the end of the half. Trae creates fake bullshit contact with .5 to go, ref gives him 3 shots which is a total joke, and then calls 2 techs on Brown because he made a mistake.

Every time I have ever inbounded a basketball since middle school I have a split second flashback to one of my first pick up games. I pass in and say check. Older kid passes the ball back and says, "That was a pansy pass, do it again." So I step back out of bounds, say check, and hit him with a harder pass. "Fool, you don't check twice. That's a turnover." He then drives for a layup.
I have yet to make an inbound mistake since that day
Maybe it's because I don't follow basketball but the idea that a rapist can remain a hero because he's good at basketball completely blows my mind.
It's pretty much any sport, at any level, where someone is good at it. The Brock Turner case comes to mind. The perpetrator's promise/legacy supercedes the victim's pain.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar too. Part of the problem is that these players are literally hundreds of millions of investment to clubs and therefore they will do anything to protect them, moral or not. Of course Ronaldo didn't commit rape, we just paid 200 million to get him to Juventus/Neymar to PSG/etc etc etc
I watched most of that game last night. The Pelicans are surprisingly good. And got an All Star in Brandon Ingram. I guess the question for them now is - do they try and get the 8th seed to get bounced by the Lakers in the first round or do they tank the rest of the season for a better draft position? At a glance, I would think they are a big man away from being in the playoff picture again.
I wonder what would have happened if Davis didn't force his way to the Lakers. Davis and Williamson together would have been fantastic.

They're all pining for leaving Texas?
Russ was probably just starting to ease up on the nightmares and hey here's a refresh

All stars vs Harlem Globetrotters vs Monstarz
Literally should be fired at halftime.
Like, imagine calling this foul with .5 seconds in the half. Imagine being this bad at your job.

I still hate that kid

I don't know what Usher is singing right now, but if I could hear it, I'd definitely be crying.

I don't think I've ever loved another man more than I love Damian Lillard. Sorry Dad and Brothers 1 and 2.

So he still had 2 to go before he traveled.
