So, two Fridays (?) from now (the 26th), they're switching up some Relic draw stuff.
It looks like they're adding a Realm relic draw for every realm, except Beyond and KH. The first time is a discounted 15 mythril (or 900 gems) for an LMR/BSB + relic draw for the realm. I don't know if this means one discounted draw per realm, or if just the first draw at all is discounted. Either way, after the discounted draw, they're full price.
We're also getting a Full Throttle Relic Draw (and let me just marvel at how hilarious that is after Full Throttle battles were changed to Jump Start). This is a 500-gem lucky draw with a bonus relic set from one realm. It says it includes Overstrikes, Bursts, and healing Bursts. I dunno if this means three separate draws, or if you do the draw, then choose a curated bonus draw from a specific realm with one of each type of relic.
That first one sounds a bit like an upgraded version of the infamously trap-y Newcomer banners, doesn't it? That's because about a week earlier (the 20th), they're discontinuing those relic draws.
It also says they're discontinuing Lucky Relic Draws (what, the Dungeon Update draws?) and Crystal Tower draws at that time. I hope this means that the new ones are going to be periodic and replace them, instead of them just going away. And maybe there's hope for the Crystal Tower + SSB selection draws? Don't get your hopes up on that one, since the announcement doesn't mention it.
Maybe this was all known before? I dunno, though. This is my first time hearing of this.

Quetzalcoatl musings. Put in spoilers in case you don't care to see... not a wall of text, but a few lazily stacked bricks.
So, Ramza with his BSB2 works decently well as an entrust bot for Ovelia, allowing her to drop her USB as needed. I made the mistake of using my R2 Entrust instead of R4 for my practice runs (leaving me out of steam to give to Ovelia midway through), but it works decently enough. I wonder though if I couldn't use Affliction Break instead of Wrath. Yeah, Affliction Break almost certainly doesn't work to stop Savage Thundaja from paralyzing people, but if my experiences with Hydra are any indication, it can cause Savage Thunder Call to fail to apply Imperil Lightning to some people. On the one hand, that could help immensely, making some people not die instantly from Savage Thunderbolt following it. On the other hand, while I am able at this point to get Battle Cry going again with just one Wrath (using Warrior's Will for the rest of the burst mode duration), and could get that meter at the end with Affliction Break, I feel like that's probably not the way to go. Sure, I could make some people not die, but the imperil will land on some people, and that will mean that I'll need a Last Stand re-up after Thunderbolt (and most Thunder Calls) regardless. Wrath is probably still the way to go. I wonder if I should swap Earth Guardian to my primary slot instead of Midgardsormr. Earth Guard would nullify one Imperil Lightning, making healing easier throughout the fight; It might even prevent me from needing to re-up Last Stand following the second Savage Thunderbolt (after Rage #2), which would give Ovelia more meter to burn when Quetzalcoatl goes into that BS Thundercall --> Thunderbolt --> Thundercall combo after Rage #3. Losing that Earth Boost would hurt, though; Bartz probably won't break into the 9000s even with Sundering Spellblade, and Gladio would need to wait for two Imperil Earths from Dorgann to have time for his BSB. Something to try, I guess, if I can't keep up with the healing needs of the fight.
Edit: Well, Earth Guardian makes it easier to get past that Imperil spam, but I think it's not going to work in the long run. Best to summon Midgardsormr to get though the fight faster, becasue my hones can only last so long. Gonna need another hone on Stone Press, too, and possibly on Ultra Cure.
Palom USB does mean that the person who gets Darkness'd will come back via Reraise.

They only very recently raised in in JP. It's three steps now. Up to 800/1055 like it is now for ATK/MAG, and then a slower gain to 1200?/2000? ATK/MAG, and then current post soft-cap gains after that.
Aww what the hell? The Enna Kros half of that banner was the half I wanted to see. The new Lann and Reynn stuff isn't even all that great.

Just barely! Killed him during the last Gathering Gale before the third 49999 attack. I was using a 13% doublecast Darkness RM, and I was successfully able to disrupt one of the previous Gathering Gales in that phase, which is a huge help with the DPS check. It's possible I would have been better served with +30% Weakness damage, since I was way below cap on everything once the barrier went up, but that makes it impossible for Gaff to disrupt Gathering Gale.

What is your team? For lightning Mages I have Maria USB, Ashe BSB, Shantotto USB/BSB/Super/LMR. Probably have to radiant it I guess since you mention heavy AOE and I only have the physical chain/no Onion Musb.

They do! It takes five hits, and you have enough time for two actions, maybe three IF you have High Quickcast. If you've got a chase that happens after every attack, you just need one doublecast or extra followup (e.g. Rem LMR) to trigger it.
Alternatively, if all you have is Ashe BSB, you can hope that both her LM2 and RM trigger enough extra casts, the odds are not in your favor though.

The entry almost always can. It’s the constant attacks that are extremely less effective without a chain, especially on the savage modes that reduce damage taken.
