tales of bersaria is the newest one and is an all time great jrpg with my favorite female protagonist ever
did you know how many copies of it you could have bought for people last month? it was part of the humble monthly!
Actually it's part of this month's Humble Monthly, so right now Zack could spend twelve precious dollars he doesn't have to buy a copy of the game for his good friend Lexi who he has on more than one occasion raved to about said game
I'm sorry, I've had that one in the tank for a while and this is probably the last time it'll ever be context-appropriate.
You'll never see a bunch of tattered rags worn to so artfully frame a character's underboobs anywhere else!
Thankfully, her normal outfit from the prologue is immediately available to be switched into. Haircut optional.

Nope! Once all the games for a Humble Monthly are revealed you can no longer get it. It's now Overwatch.

I got the pilot who had the immunity to webbing pretty early.
She trivializes so much shit.
(and by trivialize I mean she keeps me from being slammed into the dick over and over)
I have noticed that ITB tends to have a 'perfect move' that you can do from the very start, and as long as you keep making those 'perfect moves' you don't lose much, if anything.

A good webbing can really kneecap a mission so that's interesting. Aside from the default I have the pilot that gets bonus movement on the first turn and I just got the one who gets a free shield.
Any recommendations for my next mech team unlock? They all sound pretty interesting, in their own way.

They all have their pluses and minuses.
Rusting Hulks are OP as shiiiiit though. It's very easy to get away completely undamaged with the way that team works.
EDIT: Also Rusting Hulks are very much on the "You really have to have a grasp of how mech abilities work" to get the most out of the team. It's all about avoiding damage and attrition.

you would hate that game
also, i still dont know what humble bundle is
'Humble bundle' used to be a thing where indie developers would basically get together and release their games in bundles, with a 'pay what you can' setup. So you could pay as little as a penny and get all these small indie dev games. It operated on the honor system, relying on people actually voluntarily paying a fair price based on what they could personally afford.
It ended up working out pretty good, because it's expanded to include a lot more games, still compiled in bundles, for different price points. There are 1/5/10/20 dollar bundles, and the bundles are typically only active for a certain amount of time, before being changed for different bundles.
I don't think there's any rules against linking directly to the site, but just in case there is, if you google 'humble bundle' it should be the first site. Proceeds of sales go to charity.

Apparently I, too, don't know what Humble Monthly is.
From what I gather, Humble Monthly is basically their subscription service, that's kind of set up like one of those 'loot boxes' that you can get mailed to you every month. You pay a monthly fee, and get some games, but you don't know what those games are going to be. I think subscribers also get a discount from the regular humble bundles

Correct and kinda.
Yes, you pay upfront for a bundle of games that you don’t know what they’ll be. It used to be 100% blind. For the last year or so, they’ve announced 1-2 games early, with the rest revealed later.
E.g. last month you knew ahead of time you’d get Tales of Berseria and Sniper Elite, but didn’t know Darksiders 2 and Battle Chef Brigade would be in.
Once the Monthly Bundle is fully revealed, it can no longer be purchased. So if you wanted $12 Tales, you’re out of luck.
Monthly subscribers get a 10% discount on the Humble Store. (Which just gives you a steam key to redeem on steam) and some of the weekly bundles give subscribers some bonus credit to use in the store.
I've played a few Tales games myself and I did like Symphonia a lot. I've avoided Abyss though on the 3DS since I heard the story wasn't that good in a...
...'blame the main protagonist for a disaster even though we could have prevented this ourselves' stance the party takes about a third of the way in.
I don't have trouble with the L/R/ZL/ZRs, but as someone who hadn't owned a Nintendo console since the 64, I'm constantly confusing the X/Y buttons on the Switch. Why on earth would you put the Y button on the horizontal axis and the X button on the vertical???

Because it tracks with the alphabetical order of A and B and when they made the Super Nintendo using C and D would feel like chasing Sega and arcades (this is my pet theory not, afaik, confirmed fact, but in line with Nintendo's way of thinking). I'm pretty sure the letters have nothing to do with axes

I get confused by the placement of A & B too, honestly, but the muscle memory on that particular layout came back more quickly. I think my biggest issue is that I've been using a logitech controller on my PC for the past several years that also has A/B/X/Y naming conventions for the buttons, but with the B/A and X/Y pairs flipped from how Nintendo does it.

Yeah that's one of the bigger items on my lengthy list of why Xbox controllers are terrible. Apparently that's the "Western" style (which makes sense since it's alphabetical left-to-right) but it's not the layout I learned as a kid so it will always be against my muscle memory
You know, the Gamecube controller had some issues - the c-stick is tiny, some X+B inputs require an uncomfortable claw-grip, the D-Pad wasn't great, etc. - but at least there was no way that you were ever going to mix up the face buttons.

It has the same X and Y problem, though. They're both little grey beans.

I remember it by the only real Z button is the one on the n64, so all these Z-amalgam buttons are as close to approximating its location as sensible design will allow

You can also divide your payment so the devs get some, the charity gets some, and humble bundle itself gets some
I have like 40 steam games I will never play thanks to the Bundle and I paid like 10 bucks.

Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Why the hell cant I remap buttons though?
except for that one stage with the jellyfish boss
You can remap them per game in each games options menu.
Can't use ZL or ZR in the SNES games.
Yeah thats my big gripe. I figured there'd be a global remap for the snes games since thats such a big oversight
L and R are the front set and the z are the back set.
Thank you
I will never remember that
I mean Soul Calibur is coming out in like a month.
Just remember the phrase "No take back-zs," because the zs are in the back

They are alphabetical.
It’s like going back to playing FF7 and circle being accept and x being cancel.
Yeah but who has time to recite the entire alphabet to get to z when they gotta press a button in a game?
Ze triggers might be in ze front but zey are NOT!
